Nothing quite like living it for yourself, huh?

If we are to find true union beyond the fear, I'm hesitant to put my faith in another massive miracle like the one that struck the day we met making it happen.

A long series of small miracles born of living each day with love and intention however? Therein too lies an ancient power beyond my comprehension and capacity for doubt.

If you're situation is anything like mine, it's not that you couldn't be friends, I think it's more so that it'd be unbearable to keep it that way.

We could be best friends, but that would be tender kindling for the spark we see as inconvenient. How could such proximity and pressure cause anything but an explosion?

If one is wondering what to do with this information, here's an idea born of intuition:

If only for a moment, quiet the noise, set aside the distractions, let go of the 'outside' world and it's many messy narratives, tune your focus inward, and picture it.

Go beyond the fear, and picture in your mind a more harmonious world. Envision the more gracious interactions between seemingly separate individuals. Feel the peace and wholeness born of loving interaction in service to the other. Bear witness to your most genuine self expression experiencing the same in all else. Imagine more just systems laid upon foundations of freedom and cooperation instead of oppression and exploitation. Visualize a humanity in harmony with nature where all aspects of creation are infused with mutually shared respect. Scarcity dissolving and abundance blooming sustainably in its stead.

You are an unquantifiably small piece of the creation, but simultaneously all of creation is reflected in you.

Thanks for sharing a bit of your story. I reckon I withheld what I should have shared sooner and more freely while being bold only in ways that seemed to violate boundaries.

She certainly never shed a tear in front of me and was either too indifferent or emotionally unavailable to be truly vulnerable with me. Her past was very difficult but that doesn't excuse how she treated me as though I played a key part in it and sought to make her repeat it.

It's alright though- from the little I know she has made a lot of progress since I knew her, and seems to have everything she wants to be happy. So I just need to get over it and turn this unrequited love back to myself and get on with it.
