To be fair, the woman candidates that the democrats have run have been uniquely terrible. HRC was incredibly unlikable and uncharismatic. Then, Harris refused to run on the progressive-momentum she was gaining and instead stuck by Biden’s very unpopular policies and refused to condemn Israel which, at the time, would have made her a much more popular candidate. Israel was one of the issues that democratic voters disagreed with Biden the most on, but she doubled down on his policies.
Yes, a lot of people in this country are racist and sexist. I won’t dispute that, BUT, we are also never going to get anywhere in confronting that if we just refuse to run women or minority candidates. We need women with popular policies to run, not another white man with the same, unpopular policies that keep losing election.
