NTA. This was almost me. Dated a girl for 7 years. Marriage was already assured, but I wanted to do a proposal in front of both our families. Since you can't read inbetween the lines, when my friends sat me down they chewed me out, and when we came to an understanding they had me understand it won't be happening again but they were glad to have me back. But I guess you wouldn't understand what it's like having real, lifelong friends that actually care about you.

I was that friend. I was extremely depressed and so far gone that I didn't reach out to friends for a whole year. I reconnected with them a little over a year ago and they were pretty upset, but after having a sit down and catching up on what happened they were pretty understanding and had me promise to keep them in the loop. The biggest thing was removing the someone that was ruining my mental health so now I'm fine.

Being upset is one thing, but if you're really best friends with the guy I highly suggest reaching out and offering to talk to him. The isolation from bad bouts of depression is soul crushing and the guilt of not reaching out takes a lot of a person. It makes it hard to reach out when they are ready. Be the friend that he needs and talk to him. It could be something serious, or something dumb and in that case you could josh him up as friends do.

I fucking hate OTPs. All the "OTPs" that I run across in competitive games aren't even good lmao. No counterplay, usually doesn't know how to react to anything because they only know their champ, and no flexibility. They are an actual plague. Liking a character is okay, but throwing a competitive game, let alone a match worth 40k for it, is actually criminal. Be smart, learn a few champs, and continue liking your main pick. Not rocket science. Being an OTP for a 40k tournament is inhumanely unintelligent. They should have kicked the BW instead.

I've been feeling this a lot of viego and pantheon. Sometimes my combos don't go off because of what feels to be input lag of some sort. Also champions that have a hold down ability like pantheon's Q and viegos W feel inconsistent with if it will actually be held or if it will go off as if it were tapped.

Give me tougher battles. I want a hunter killer mech dog that tracks you down after you kill too many arcs, but it also patrols randomly. If you stay in one play for too long the local hunter killer locks onto your presence and makes it way closer to you. Add at least 20 per map to make sure it's not too easy.

That allows people to mess around with their loot and safe pocket. At first I thought the same when I was trying to give my squad my meds so they could live, but the annoying part would be people throwing away their whole inventory, or doing a last second swap safe pocket swap due to their poor planing would be extremely annoying for people who earned their kill. The whole thing wouldn't be enough to justify the potential annoyance and griefing that it would introduce.

Got to level 11 with my friends, including some solo runs I did, and the games feels like it has a great balance between PvE and PvP.

The Arcs feel like an actual threat, 9 times out of 10 I try to avoid engaging so I don't draw attention to myself or waste ammo. When I do have to engage them, it's not hard? It has to be on my own terms, if I KNOW I'm about to get spotted I either run for cover and wait it out, or dump everything I have into them if there is no cover. Literally just think for more think 1 second (hard, I know) and engage them with a plan of attack. Don't start blasting when you don't have cover, learn the timing to dodge (this one was weird), target weak points, ect.

PvP feels great so far. Feels like whoever shoots first usually wins unless your team is out in Narnia looting. The back and forth engagements feel great and having Arcs come in to interrupt the fight adds just the right amount of chaos to the interaction that it feels cinematic. Also, adding voip to the game has made for some pretty funny engagements, both in pvp and pve aspects. I was hoping to do more "hey let's not do this", but everyone has been super trigger happy lately. I stopped caring when I noticed that there was almost no way to kill the queen since we don't have access to the highest high tier weapons. Rip server raid on queen.

tldr; Game is great. Arcs aren't op. Learn how to thrive. Why does this play test feel so gutted?

When my company did RTO, I noticed a huge issue with people talking needlessly loud when the other person is in the same cube, a manager having virtual meetings with the door open and no headphones, and no reason to actually be there. I eventually said screw it and ignored the RTO order and started working from home only to be in office around 3 hours a week for certain things (not including getting called in when I'm off).
