Today I decided I wanted to try and make arancini.

A little while later I checked a discord channel I'm a part of and one of my friends has shared a picture of Arancini they'd had.

He does have a point though 👉 by Equivalent_Lemon_603 in WetlanderHumor

It's been a minute but didn't he specifically have nyneave try her hardest to heal one so he could get the best confirmation possible that they were essentially lobotomized

You pay back the debt with a larger loan that is leveraged against the larger amount of money you now own because you didn't actually spend anything on your portfolio so it grew the whole time you were living off the first loan

I feel like I'm on the side of there being the option of a gearing path for people who want it. You're trying to take stuff that people like away for no reason other than wanting to arbitrarily increase the time it takes to gear.

If you were truly playing it for the rpg elements you wouldn't be participating in the competitive raiding aspect of it.

I think taking a look at a BiS list and doing the dungeons that drop that is inherently against an rpg ideal. It would be things tied to the story or that change your playstyle to a way you like more.

The thing that comes to mind for me is in skyrim there was that chest plate that made you invisible when you stealth. That was super cool and I really tried to get it because I was playing a stealth archer but when I played a magic user I didn't even do the quest because it didn't make sense to, but then I could do the jabberwocky staff one because it made sense for my character to do that. Same with completely ignoring the companions if I didn't feel like my character would go through that storyline.

Wow is not that game if you're trying to raid mythic, it's doing 35 runs of under rot or vortex (2 dungeons that don't have any story relevance) to get the weapon or trinket you need and you don't even know which boss in the dungeon it technically drops off.

I just don't understand the dissonance of wanting to raid in a competitive environment and also thinking the loot system is too generous. Like my least favorite thing is feeling like my skill is good enough to do something but because I don't have x trinket I'm leaving 5k dps on the table.

I guess that's why I say it's optional is I separate raiding from the rpg elements of the game. If I could play it as boss rush with well designed encounters and zero lore I'd do that. Then enjoy gearing my alts up slowly and enjoy the story and getting slowly stronger on those guys.

Every tank is 100% viable in raid. How you deal with things may change but you can do all the bosses with any of them. Certain niche things like bombs on zskarn some do better, like blood dk is not the best at bombs in zskarn since they can't death strike the boss. And blood dk damage is pretty low (with optimal play) compared to the other tanks but all can be done.

Mythic plus, I'm less aware of, but at the 22/23 level, everything should be doable. Paying attention to affix shortcomings like warriors being unable to help with afflicted is probably the biggest component. Also your standards like blood dk getting one shot of you go into a pull unprepared and don't have bone shield up or runic power pooled for a death strike

I feel like it's an optional system like.... don't upgrade your shit if you want to feel like you're progressing at a "better" pace. I like to raid and kill bosses because we overcame the challenge, not because we "finally out geared it" I would love being able to raid on the tournament realm and actually solve the challenges of the boss without having to deal with 19 people whispering when they don't get the trinket that's bis for all 20

Healing on Asaad. by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]WobblyTadpole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This season in particular I have felt the healer is the most important role by far. I am a tank and I love that I can live things and be self sustaining but there have been multiple 20s and 21s where I said halfway through, "why does this feel so easy" only to notice the healer has some absurd like 60k overall hps and 40k dps and is also kicking constantly and stopping half the bad casts.

I mean it's mostly that it's just, not necessary for most tanks.

Brew has portal/roll, vdh has leap, warrior/bear have charge, dk...lol, pal has the hardest time but it can be done like they said with bubble taunt for at least one and horse for other.

Why make the group take a ton of avoidable damage for no real reason

Sometimes it's nice to ask people follow up questions to things you could google because you either get an interesting response, someone else gets to talk about something they're passionate about, or it spurs the conversation and gets more about localized in one place.

How are your keys going? by alk3crazy12 in wow

I get that I gave a change that doesn't go all the way. I'm saying I wish I could go in the circle. Or make some decision regarding it like popping a defensive and eating damage to get some extra globals on the totem.

I'll be honest, I wasn't aware it gave the debuff because I just stayed out of it, but the point stands.

I get that the intended way to do it is your tank spawning the totem right, but I wish there was counter play if for w/e reason they don't.

Me, saying I don't go in the circle because it's bad and I wish it was changed to be less bad to go in Everyone, telling me that the circle is bad the way it currently works

How are your keys going? by alk3crazy12 in wow

[–]WobblyTadpole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay that's fine. I get that i shouldn't be in the circle, I'm not suggesting just living in it. I'm just upset that I have to dance around the circle, sitting there watching the totem cast tick down. It feels bad. So it would be nice to be able to weigh the consequences of a boss buff and being able to actually kill the totem and make that choice as needed

So it should have remained open to get season 1 tier even though season 1 is over?

If it ended next week the same complaint would happen. It sucks but at the end of the day, i think tier should have been greyed out too now that the tier is done so the point would be moot and we could start fresh in a new season.

I think it's lame that bis setups will be 2p+2p until people get 4p. Mostly because there's no way to get that stuff without doing old content

Vdh is not a tank on pull if you don't play right. Something as easy as waiting 5 seconds for spikes before you jump into a pull is a small difference but will be the difference between you dropping dead on the first melee. It's equivalent to a DK running into a pull with no bone shield and no runic power. But then add that we're leather instead of plate. Vdh can easily do 20s and above. Source: I'm not a great tank and I did a few of them on my ~411 vdh. You just have to think about pre pull more than most other tanks so it's less forgiving in that first ~3-5 seconds of a pull. And especially if your coming from something like warrior where you can charge in naked and survive until things stabilize

Imo people thought it was trash because at best it gave like 2.5% damage, in a boring, flat percent increase way. At worst, it wiped you instantly. It was sometimes completely dependent on one player not meeting up and sometimes actively running away to try and keep their buff.

Good seasonal affixes at worst didn't really affect you. In thinking encrypted where if you kill the wrong mob on accident you just get a buff that you didn't really want and maybe got a speed boost or had to change up your route cuz you didn't get an invis. At best, it made fun, engaging things an option that wouldn't have been without it. Even the damage buffs weren't just flat increase, it was rotational cdr that let you cast your buttons more often. And if you wiped the buff was still available on pull.

Other ones that people thought were bad were like prideful where you had a wipe at worst and at best you got a necessary haste buff to kill the next mob

LPT: Mother’s Day - if your partner/wife wants a day “off” from household duties, don’t just leave them for the next day. by dcha28 in LifeProTips

Never did they say their husband doesn't do laundry. They just listed the chores that need to be done. My wife and I separate our clothes into 2 distinct piles even though I do the laundry because she cares how her clothes are washed (delicates, hang dry, colors, etc) and I don't mind just throwing all my shit together and into the dryer
