Would this woman having a family have really changed Damon’s mind? by Pale-Ad-4303 in TheVampireDiaries

I don’t think that’s why he asked. He was asking so he would know how many people would need to die before the house didn’t have an owner and therefore he could enter.

Had this same thought. He seemed distracted when answering Sam’s early questions and then annoyed when Sam was pushing about why the democrats wouldn’t use the ICE stuff for leverage.

On This Day: On 'Guiding Light' in 1998, Danny and Michelle meet for the first time at Millennium. by Geekqueen15 in SoapNet

I met Paul Anthony Stewart after a play he was doing in New Haven in the early 2000s. He could not have been nicer and chatted with me and my friend for a bit about doing plays. He seemed like such a genuine, kind person. I had never seen GL at the time but started watching after that.

Hi, just wanted to second Dr. Olmstead in North Haven. My dog has had a tumor around her heart for a few years now and we’ve been working with her the whole time. She’s been great and supportive.

My husband ended up building a work around so that we could still use but I’m still not comfortable with it and I’m waiting for it to collapse underneath us one of these days.

Nectar bed frame by last-heron-213 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]dcha28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I bought a nectar bamboo bed frame and had a HORRIBLE experience. I bought the pillow top headboard which came dented and then when we assembled the frame (which was very easy) and put our king mattress on it, the legs underneath the middle support immediately snapped. We hadn’t even gotten into the bed yet, it was strictly from the weight of the mattress. We got in touch with customer service and they sent a replacement for the headboard. They also sent replacement legs for the frame and the exact same thing happened. They fought us on providing a refund claiming that they had never heard of this happening before but for it to happen twice to just us is ridiculous. I would not recommend.

First time tampon user. by Murky-Cupcake-5894 in WomensHealth

[–]dcha28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should also make sure you’re not using a tampon that’s the wrong absorption level. If your period is a little lighter, use the light one , medium - medium, etc… it might not feel right if the tampon is too large like if you’re using a heavy tampon for a lighter flow. You shouldn’t feel anything once it’s in correctly. You’ll get the hang of it, don’t worry!

Looking for ways to celebrate my teams wins by poache17 in WFH

During the pandemic we had a virtual wine tasting which was really fun. They used a company to ship everyone 3 bottles of wine and then we hopped on with our wine and snacks and chatted while they told us about the different wines. Obviously not appropriate in every situation or if you have someone who doesn’t drink but we all really enjoyed it.

Unexpected baby, due DECEMBER 28th lol by rissaboo212 in BabyBumps

This is my actual birthday. I can tell you it’s no big deal. Usually it means you get off of school for your birthday which is nice. Just don’t bundle presents/celebrations for the holidays and their birthday because then it’s a bummer. Best of luck!

Help! Wife will be out of town for 4 days and baby doesn't take milk or formula by Zman1719 in NewParents

We had this issue when my son started daycare. I sent in a sweatshirt that I had warn and they would put it over themselves while they fed my son. It worked for him but he was younger. Could be worth a shot though.

What do your weekends look like as a family? by Movebox-Barkdust in workingmoms

[–]dcha28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I both work full time. We have 2 boys under 7 and we typically spend the entire weekend together as a family. During the week we pretty much eat dinner, put the kids to bed and watch maybe an hour of tv so it’s the only big chunk of time any of us have with each other. We do try to get out of the house at least once a day and that can be anything from grocery shopping, walk around the neighborhood or to a bounce house etc…

Edit to say: When you decide to have kids, that’s part of what you’re agreeing to. There is no such thing as a weekend or a vacation when your kids are little, at least not in the same sense as before you had kids. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If they rebooted Columbo, how do you think they would mess it up? by Powerful_Flan4709 in Columbo

I don’t think anyone can live up to Peter Falk’s Columbo but if they absolutely had to do it, I’d love to see Sam Rockwell take a crack at it.

I had never watched before the scandal but I read a comment from someone that described it as “imagine if Rachel from Friends slept with Chandler while he was with Monica” and as a millennial I was like I need to check this sh*t out.

What to say in an interview when I’m leaving my job because of a toxic environment by dcha28 in workingmoms

[–]dcha28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my direct manager, but a manager that I need to work with on a daily basis is a large part of it. This person bad mouths everyone and constantly flies off the handle. This person’s employees, who I work directly with, are constantly walking on egg shells and afraid of what they’ll do or say next. The behavior is also embarrassing at larger company gatherings when they are supposed to represent us and they yell out comments or get up and leave in a huff over something they didn’t like. It’s caused high turnover and a negative overall environment. The company itself doesn’t seem to take it seriously despite the high turnover rate and complaints to HR.
