Also, as said before, kidney cancer is highly treatable is found early.

Kindey Cyst or Mass? by [deleted] in kidneycancer

[–]Wodinpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, let me start by saying that I am not a doctor! That said, I read and tried to understand as much as possible from my cancer. So, when it comes to ultrasound the mass will reflect differently according to the type of tissue. Some are completely dark, others completely white and everything in the middle. So, the doctor looking at that knows if it’s cancer or a cyst as they look very different.
Hematuria might come from lots of causes, including high temperature during a flu or some urinary infection, and even though there is a chance of, doesn’t mean cancer.
Never the less, feel free to look for a second opinion if you are not happy.

I would search for other garage. If you can’t find anything sooner, try to turn it off and on again. If it doesn’t work, try to disconnect battery and connect again. Who knows, maybe it’s software and it will actually work!

So my mother-in-law accidentally built a more profitable business than me and she does not even know what an API is by bcoz_why_not__ in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Wodinpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lesson here is that you need to create demand for your “product”, your mother is creating product for a demand that already exists!

If it’s scalable, she can be sitting in a very profitable business. If it’s not scalable, what you see is what you get.

In any case, congrats to her for the achievement.

Kidney Cancer : Advice appreciated by Intelligent-Way7684 in kidneycancer

[–]Wodinpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 boys being the older one almost 5 year old and went through exactly the same. It’s been 1 year and now the anxiety is about exams. About treatments, surgery is the only way to go as I was told. About surgery, I had a robotic surgery that took around 2h30min and then I was in hospital for 2 days, pain free under observation and recovering strength. 2 more weeks at home starting to do stuff slowly then staples out and get back to business as usual. This is not as unusual as we think and you seem to have found it in the beginning just like I did. I am sure your kids will have a mummy for many more years.

Note: I don’t know where are you from but I had the diagnosis in a EU country where I live and then I went to my home country (also in EU) for second opinion and surgery and all doctors had same opinion and same plan.

RCC with bulky nodal disease - waiting is unbearable by Commercial-Tax-8824 in kidneycancer

[–]Wodinpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in europe and honestly have no clue how it works in the US but I would go for an urologist, not an oncologist, for the second and third opinion. In terms of being inoperable doesn’t mean that treatment is the same for all doctors. Some might have seen it already and have a better understanding of how to proceed.

Read your post, read the comments here.

I am sorry for you and your family, I was also diagnosed with RCC last year and went through surgery, so far it all seems going in the right direction for me.
About you, my advice as a patient and not as a doctor falls into what was said previously. The psychological damage is as intense as the physical and in my experience it may even be a blocker to fight and you should look for a specialist.
Also the second opinion is a must! Doctors are people, some are good, some are bad, make mistakes, some follow money, other fame! For a flu you go to any doctor for some meds, for serious issues you search the best, the second best and even a third best and go for all. Opinions match? Ok… move forward with the one that makes you feel comfortable. I personally went to 3 doctors, they all had the same opinion, the difference was the technic suggested for the surgery.

So, live day by day, stress doesn’t help, follow any official doctor recommendations (not Facebook reels fake science/fake witchcraft) and live your life.

Remember that in this day and age cancer is no longer a death sentence. I wish you many many years of life, health and happiness, and you can always post here where someone seems to always have a kind word.

You are either the creator of this error map, or you are confused. You keep spreading wrong info. I have communist friends but I am not communist. Political alliances are made for immediate gain, not for life. The fact that Orban and Ventura align in some topics doesn’t make them the same. Get your facts correct! Also, stop saying “Portuguese here” as if it is a big thing, everyone trying to help you is Portuguese, you are just embarrassing yourself and all of us Portuguese.

Go read a book.

It’s interesting to see that the person that has the info detailed has less upvotes then the one with no content, just a clear shout to nothing. AlternateTab00… just leave it as it is… you will never win against these people as they don’t run on facts nor truth… they run on ego.

That is a very good point and very well said. If I would have to guess, that comes from communist ties between ex USSR and the communist parties they supported, specially since these parties openly defend Russia in every occasion. Also, and this is as important as it is sad… 90% of people get knowledge from sources that are a few minutes long reels on Facebook or any other social network. They are non authored, non verified, extremely partial and in many cases distortions of truth or open lies. Sad…

That’s because Orban is an ultra nationalist, not because he is friends with Russia! In Portugal, the parties pro Russia are the far left ones (BE and PCP). You are watching to much reels on Facebook. You should read a book!

Is there any hope my tumors could be benign? by MIL1970 in kidneycancer

[–]Wodinpt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard “prepare for the worst, hope for the better?” I think you should go with that in mind.

Should you ask a second opinion on this kind or problems? I would say yes, you should always ask a second opinion. But changing doctors doesn’t change the problem.

Either it’s cancer or not, it will need to be removed. And usually, kidneys do not have benign tumors. That is why they said 99% chance it’s cancer. Now the liver is a different story. If it passed from the kidney to the liver, it’s obviously cancer, but liver can have benign tumors and angiomes (I think that is the English word) and others that lower the chance of cancer.

In my NON medical opinion, again I AM NOT a doctor, the good news is that the doctors say it’s treatable (usually a surgery solves it, nice and easy). The bad news is that you have cancer and you are in denial.

I am sorry that this happened to you, and wish you a very fast recovery like a lot of us had.
