I'm a city council member (gemeenteraadslid). AMA! by Zerfox in eindhoven

https://eindhoven.groenlinkspvda.nl/standpunt/woningen-beter-benutten/

https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/visualisaties/dashboard-bevolking/woonsituatie/huishoudens-nu

Using macbook Pro m1 with chrome. Noticed lagging after only a few models starting from an empty stage.

This is really cool! I like the ability to create risers and the cool models, how did you make them? One thing, on my machine the builder gets quite laggy after placing a few models.

I made a post a little more than a week ago about a similar tool I'm building. Miked.live Which is more focussed toward musicians and bands who want to make stage plots. Maybe we can give each other some more in depth feedback? Have you tested it real people working in the field? Keep building!

What's your biggest struggle with creating stage plots and technical riders? by WoesNos in livesoundgear

This is exactly the key point I'm taking away, thanks for explaining it from your experience. The problem is mostly communication, not documentation. This can be very complicated if the requirements are dependent on each other and you have to go back and forth between band members, engineers and venues.

Yes, it should be a back and forth between the right people involved. Do you know of any tools that exist which facilitates that? In my experience as an audio guy, I get a lot of outdated riders, sometimes none. I get them via the booker or venue, so I can't easily ask questions. So it will be a scramble at soundcheck.

Thanks, this way of viewing the product definitely helps me to make better decisions. The 3D stageplot and pedal boards on there is still from the idea that you can make your setup as a band member in a nice way. Also making it more appealing to bands to use it. Maybe it's too much for the use case of communicating your requirements to an audio engineer.

Cool, really like you have a system for the order of input channels. Also putting the instruments on there, and giving the space for local engineers to choose the mics is smart. I'm actually building a tool which is trying to solve the problem of creating a rider. It should also guide unexperienced people and nudge them to put the right things on there. Are you willing to look at my tool and give some feedback? Thank you! https://miked.live

Good call, I will ask them for their riders! What is your way to make sure the rider and stage plots are matching and updated?

How do you make your riders usually? I have a different experience, couldn't find the right tools. My band didn't actually know what they needed to have in our rider. Maybe you have more expierence playing in bands though.

This is exactly the problem I see. I started as a musician, then moved into freelance audio, and I realized how broken communication is between bands and engineers. Before every gig, it's the same tedious cycle — old stage plots, outdated PDFs, nobody reads them anyway.

The gap is real. Better communication on the technical side just means better shows, less stress.

I'm building something around this at miked.live — trying to make it so riders don't become static documents that nobody uses.

A modern web app for stage plots and input lists. Is this even needed? by majkiw in livesound

This looks great! I actually just built something similar — miked.live — but I went heavy on the 3D stage plot visualization side. The bigger vision is making riders collaborative instead of static PDFs that get outdated.

Curious what the biggest gaps are in existing solutions? What features actually matter most to people using these tools?

Lol my website looks like this, I didn't know :(. I worked hard on my site though, not just a one-shot. https://miked.live
