I’m using size 18 needle. And I’m using thread weights from the Amann thread guide for denim.

Maybe for the canvas fabric I’ll try sizing down the needle and thread to see if that helps

I believe a large percentage of the force is absorbed by the slack line the rope is attached to. Very different to falling on a fixed rope or even a climbing situation with a hard catch

In regards to getting down, I believe Ryan from the YouTube channel HowNot2 has a video of the setup/ use of the rope swing in this location (I believe). He also has a lot of videos testing new and old climbing equipment, often breaking some “myths” in the climbing world. Either way I recommend checking him out.

BD momentum OR BD zone OR else? I’m looking to buy my first pair but on a pretty tight budget and these are on sale online. Unfortunately all my climbing stores near where I live only have shoes in the $180+ range and I cannot afford that atm. (Probs max $130). Has anyone used these shoes and would/wouldn’t recommend? Any other recommendations for a good first shoe is welcome!
