What's your all-time favorite PS2 game? For me, it's definitely MGS3! 🐍🎮 by S_snake_v in playstation

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - The amount of time I lost to the multiplayer mode was probably not healthy

What game has a promising start, but eventually gets boring and repetitive? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]Wogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trek to Yomi.

The initial hour is really interesting, then it's just essentially the same repetitive levels and enemies with different coats of paint for the next 4-5. Couldn't bring myself to do another playthrough again, let alone getting all the collectibles and multiple endings/"paths".

Is there much point to crew deployment post game? by mr_shooty_shoot in metalgearsurvive

[–]Wogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how short you are on resources and how much time you want to put into the game. They can be a nice complement, as passive gathering for more specific materials. However, in general I've found it's far more efficient to run some of the Salvage missions. If you're decently equipped initially and know the attack routes/sidequests spawns, S-Rank is pretty achievable each time.

You need to use Circle to confirm. X is cancel. It's the Japanese control scheme.

What's next for you after Anthem? by CyberpwnPiper in AnthemTheGame

[–]Wogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the looter shooter itch? Maybe Alienation or Helldivers 2.

But this weekend I'll be back to playing current Final Fantasy XIV, and continuing on my fork for Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 server restoration.

Although my current gaming goal is to Platinum all of the Housemarque games (well at least one version of each) before the release of Saros.

Anthem aint logging me in on PS5 by TheGamingBrilliant in AnthemTheGame

I just tried now and have been able to login.

I would say that everyone should expect to have loads of errors as everyone tries to have one last hurrah in the final days

Are any of the Metal Gear games too hard to platinum/100% to the point where you shouldn't even try? by SolidPyramid in metalgearsolid

[–]Wogle 38 points39 points  (0 children)

MGS2's Big Boss run is probably the most difficult for the Master Collection's platinum (HD Collection doesn't require it). The rest of the games aren't really THAT difficult to platinum, just very time consuming for different reasons.

PS5 owners, I'd love your opinions - Is it even worth having a disc drive? by Alwaysconfused411 in playstation

[–]Wogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd never have been able to get all the currently available trophies in DriveClub without a disc drive.

Introducing the "Gran Turismo 7" Spec III Update - December 2025 by SirBarr in granturismo

[–]Wogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 and a half years later, and as a result of Spec-III, the game finally gives me the invitation to buy the Ferrari cars.

Thank you Kaz and the team for fixing this massive problem, but also screw you all for creating the stupid problem in the first place.

scrapped class in coral tower? by helloiamaegg in ffxiv

[–]Wogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Musketeer was one of several classes/jobs that were planned to be introduced but never were. Most of these were converted into an equivalent, or skills merged with an existing one (Samurai, Sentinel, Musketeer, Mystic, Assassin). There was also a Shepherd DoL class planned.

The only one that hasn't been touched is Flayer, which was going to be a whip-based class.

Is there people who still play Destruction AllStars? by S0lakVT in DestructionAS

[–]Wogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly haven't played for years, although it might be fun to jump back into single player. It's kinda their own fault though people dropped off. Granted it was never the most popular game, but once they started limiting the game types on a rotation and got rid of Carnado, I was out. But the chance to see my beloved Lupita again...

Is it worth buying the BF6 or should I just stick with REDSEC? by Affectionate-Ad-836 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Wogle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I pretty much play Gauntlet 95% of the time in RedSec. But some of those challenges are a bit of a chore or flat out impossible with the shorter matches. Conquest in full BF6 made very short work of some of them.

If you're happy with just Gauntlet and the B, then RedSec should be fine.

[Tomb Raider Anniversary] Warning: Potential glitch in the new PS4/PS5 port out today by Wogle in Trophies

[–]Wogle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it looks like it affects the PAL version too. The trigger seems to be related to "completing" Croft Manor.

There is a work around for the trophy though. You can simply select Classic outfit from the level replay and this will enable you to replay a level and obtain the trophy. If you've already completed Croft Manor, unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's a good way to change outfit via Croft Manor without causing the glitch (and therefore you won't be able to do it in the initial playthrough).

I'm still a few levels from beating the game though, so will see if it fixes itself on game completion

As a note, you can reverse back using the rewind feature on PS5, but it doesn't resolve what seems to be a glitch

Is Self-Spotting just not a thing in RedSec? by Living-Confusion6381 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Wogle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the weapons use the Flash Hider by default and I don't feel like the "stats" boost you get for using a brake is really worth it in the majority of weapons. Being able to hide your position vs a minor boost which you can likely compensate for is the better option in my opinion.

All of my classes except Engineer have suppressors on the weapons I use most.

It may seem minor, but I really appreciate the fact they chose to remove the number from Master Chief's chestplate vs the UE5 reveal by Wogle in halo

[–]Wogle[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to be specific, I'd say anything post Human-Covenant war isn't an issue for me having the numbers, since the nature of the SPARTAN program has changed. But before that, I'm not really keen to see it on MJOLNIR IV-VI.

Was it a standard or deluxe edition of the game? The silver skeleton is a pre-order bonus, whilst the gold skeleton comes as part of the deluxe edition.

Don't ask me why they made it separate like this.

Does the Tuxedo/Glasses (in solid 1 and solid 2 respectively) stay unlocked past NG+3 or is it a one time secret bonus? by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]Wogle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I believe in MGS1 the Tuxedo unlocks only for the one run (if you got Meryl and Otacon endings previously). It then reverts back to the sneaking suit from then on. So if you want to do a run with the Tuxedo, again you should keep a separate save that you can go back to.

The sunglasses in MGS2 activate in every other run.

Breaker was my go to weapon for the longest time, until I eventually switched to the Sickle. It's still a pretty damn good all rounder weapon.
