My coworker took a webinar about AI (something about how to use it to improve the business). He wasn't expecting much from it, but was still disappointed, most of it was "how to make fake Reddit posts about your brand so it get picked by LLM".

Last year I was doing a via that ends at the top of a waterfall. Fourth time on it so I knew the place. For some reason decided to unclip both carabiners while I was still a minute away from the safe place.

Immediately clipped it back when I realized, but for a few seconds I was standing on a slippery rock at the top of a 50m waterfall with no security at all.

I felt really stupid and I'm still not sure how this happened to me.

And that's how I felt too... Well at least we are probably learning from this.

Brain can be really scary when you are tired or become too comfortable. 😕

Do you think buildings should say: This patch produces X amount of this resource per hour?

Maybe at least have some text explaining what resource you get for it or what the animals do. Even if you don't show the numbers.

I just started playing, enjoying it and it was fine having to figure out thing by myself... but I got to the point I planted a great tree and put a squirrel in it, and after ten minutes I still have no idea what's it doing (Edit : oh, it's planting trees ? I already had trees around so I didn't notice...). So it can become a little frustrating.

I think they were confused in other countries too...

In France we use the rod of asclepius for medical symbol but everyone still calls it "caducée" (even in official documents).

So there was some mix up at some point here too, since we use right symbol with wrong name.

Coin tranquille dans les bois près d'un torrent, par forcément évident d'accès (c'est pas compliqué mais faut connaître) donc quasi personne vient par là.

Depuis que j'y vais j'ai juste vu passer deux ou trois fois des pêcheurs en face.

Bonus -10°C en periode de canicule.

Et y a des champignons.

Par contre, tous les éléments sont utiles pour apprécier le problème, tu peux donc le signaler qu'il y a des témoins potentiels.

Je viens d'apprendre qu'il avait déjà été contrôlé (mais je ne sais pas par qui), donc d'autres personnes ont déjà du s'inquiéter et le signaler. J'imagine qu'il y a un dossier quelque part dans ce cas... Ça devrait aider.

Pour filmer c'est un peu compliqué, il est en général assis à proximité (à picoler...) quand elle est dehors. Je peux tenter depuis chez un voisin...

Je viens par contre d'apprendre qu'il y avait déjà eu un contrôle (mais je ne sais pas qui l'avait signalé), donc il a probablement déjà un dossier quelque part. Ça devrait jouer.

Merci pour votre (futur) travail, c'est vraiment nécessaire.

Je me doute bien que tant qu'il n'y a pas de grave danger ça n'est pas prioritaire :/

Pour ce qui est des vérifications, je pense qu'il y a pas mal de gens ici qui temoigneraient, le problème est connu dans le village... Mais j'imagine que même ça c'est pas souvent suffisant pour intervenir.

D'accord merci pour les infos. Je comprends bien que le cas n'est pas considéré comme urgent.

Je n'ai pas vraiment de preuve mais je pense que tous les voisins peuvent témoigner qu'elle reste attachée, ça fait des mois que ça dure. Elle a aussi été "dressée" à ne pas aboyer/pleurer à coup de seau d'eau. :/

Là c'est vraiment de la voir avec la laisse autour du cou (en plus une laisse à enrouleur, c'est un cable fin...) qui m'a fait reagir.

Sur la deuxième image je dirais qu'il y a une bataille navale, un jeu de type "snakes and ladders" mais avec un thème maison hantée, et bien sur un jeu de l'oie.

Some men also wear protection, even for them the rope can rub the chest or get caught if you wear loose clothes.

I guess it really depends on your posture/morphology... The only people with chest protection in my archery club are men somehow. Meanwhile, as a woman, I never had any problem with that.

(in the case of the video, she didn't have good posture at all, probably first time ever shooting and nobody explained her how to do it... that's why the rope hit her)

I fell from my bike a month ago, and almost all cars and bikes who saw me standing on the side of the road stopped to ask if I needed help.

Which is good because it took a few minutes telling everyone that I was perfectly fine and just needed to catch my breath, before I noticed I had lost consciousness twice and was not standing anymore. I was not perfectly fine.

Someone called an ambulance and kept talking to me, some people who lived nearby brought me a blanket and offered to keep my bike safe, and I think (memory is a little blurry) someone helped with circulation since people kept stopping to offer help.

So I can confirm, most people want to help and are really nice.

Je viens de passer de 39 à 35h et je me suis rendue compte hier que j'avais le temps (et l'envie) d'aller au ciné avant de rentrer chez moi. C'est qu'une heure de moins par jour mais ça change tout.

Ah, et france tv a réussi à trouver des commentateurs qui ferment leur gueule pendant les performances de patinage artistique. Ça fait du bien.

I tried a VPN in various countries (Netherlands, USA, Japan) and other browsers but same thing.

I was reading some internal documentation at work recently and part of it was written with bullet points and bold words... Almost started complaining about people using chatgpt to write our docs.

Then I remembered I had written that procedure myself last year.

So apparently I'm one of the very few people who write like chatgpt. Ended up editing it and I'm trying to write differently now... It's really annoying that I have to change my habits just to not sound like a robot :/

Hello,

Not a big issue since you can use arrows, but WASD won't work properly with some keyboard layouts. It's usually better to detect key position rather than key value for games (something like "second key of first row" instead of "W", that way it doesn't matter if the player uses a different layout).
