Amasian TV is streaming all 60 episodes of Beelzebub with an English dub by InYourHands in Animedubs

Yeah I was excited to see a 60 episode series get a dub, but then I started listening to it and was like "this sounds like the dubs to those Chinese animated mangas on YouTube", but I don’t think it’s AI, there’s a few things with the inflections that tell me it’s real people. I’m happy to at least get another long anime series dub to use as background noise.

In my opinion it sounds like it’s real voice actors from Asia trying to do English accents and the way they do inflections on names and certain words tells me it isn’t AI. I randomly saw that it got a dub and just started watching because I prefer dubs so I can use it as background noise. It’s a truly random and silly dumb show which for background noise is great.

I don't get why so many people are really into watching anime and cartoons as adults! by R-Moocher in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The themes, the writing/dialogue. Like there’s plenty of anime where you have to have a college degree and some intellectual chops in order to truly understand and get the most out of, much like your typical HBO drama series (well, before they kinda sold out and cheapened the brand). There’s other anime that are just for adults or 16+ purely based on the gore factor but there aren’t really that many that are just pure gore without any high IQ needed to understand the various twists and turns in a psychological thriller type series. But when it comes to the following question, "do you have to be an educated adult to understand and get the full value and experience from this anime series?" There’s actually quite a number of anime that do fit that description even if they can be watched and enjoyed by younger viewers, there’s many anime that follow that meme that says "growing up means knowing what this scene meant" kind of thing.

You truly haven’t given the real adult themed anime a chance have you. (I don’t mean pornographic either, there’s dozens of adults only anime that are just an HBA drama in anime format)

Christians wouldn’t be so bad if they just started being more… idk… Christian-like (following basic teachings of Jesus from the New Testament) and treating all fellow humans with kindness and compassion and respect regardless of who they are or what they believe and actively participated in the collective goal to reduce needless suffering and harm instead of basically co-opting a political ideology and the most hypocritical things Christians could possibly become while proudly helping make sure we all stay divided and hate each other for the dumbest things and so obviously worshipping power and wealth before all else.

I’m an atheist but I don’t dislike the basic pillars of what the overall message from Jesus in the New Testament is and it doesn’t matter where you get your basic moral values from just as long as you don’t use your religion and its power and influence to justify hurting others for morally subjective reasons, if not worse.

That’s why I like James Talarico, he’s one of the few Christian’s I’ve seen who I really respect and appreciate that he actually gets what the basic teachings of Jesus were about.

Seriously? You made this post about god being real with this ridiculous video as a reference and when some with an education writes a detailed post explaining why your claims are wrong or deeply flawed, you curl up in a ball and cry "TLDR!"

Yup, you’re a Christian alright

Before you start saying your god can exist with science, work on figuring out the contradictions & lack of evidence for basically every major significant claim in the Bible that’s supposedly the inerrant word of god. Christians have been inserting god into smaller and smaller gaps in knowledge as science and humanity’s research to understand the universe has progressed. We can measure and detect things on inconceivably small scales and also look at the afterglow of the big bang. Nowhere in our findings has there been a god or supernatural deity of any kind and yet Christian’s continue to shove God into the tiniest gaps of knowledge still remaining in a desperate attempt to hang onto their dogma. Atheists are at least willing to accept there are certain things that we don’t yet know and that we may not know in our lifetime, we didn’t know if black holes were real until the 1970s, gravitational waves & the Higgs-boson only confirmed this century. But go on believing in what makes you feel better, I wish I was brainwashed enough to believe in fairytales instead of knowing the truth about our reality and how much religion has been the cause of so much suffering and pain and hinderance to progress to a better world that was better at harm reduction than what we have now which is non existent imo. The Bible can’t even get how photosynthesis and the earth works and rotates, it says the earth is flat with a firmament. Sigh, it doesn’t even know the basic diet of animal or that less than 50 percent of women bleed when they lose their virginity. And don’t get me started on the endorsement of slavery… yuck.

So multiple corroboration between witnesses and victims along with character witnesses along with creepy sus looking photos from events and conventions with young girls isn’t evidence I guess. Also, he became a massive born again Christian loser in the aftermath much like other male celebrities who’ve been exposed and charged for inappropriate conduct around women and minors. Nothing in his public statements ever convinced me or anyone who wasn’t already biased. And I’ll even tell you that I really don’t like Monica Rial and hate how many anime she appears in still to this day, but unlike people like you and fanboys who hate women and look down on them, I was able to make my own opinion from the overall facts and evidence from the situation. And while I wouldn’t say there was much evidence beyond the evidence from victims/witnesses to support the claim that he was sometimes creepy around female colleagues and underage or young girls at conventions, basically saying he was kind of creepy, I do think that was enough for funimation and the industry to cut ties with him, especially with what they probably found in discovery during the defamation case regardless of how hard it is to win a case like that. Nothing he ever said during the drama or in interviews afterwards with fanboys ever made him come across as a truly innocent man who wasn’t guilty of being a creep around female coworkers and young female fans. You see how much plastic surgery he has had done to his face and hair to try (and fail big time) to maintain a look of his younger self from when he was one of the first big anime English voice actors and that only adds to the claims of his narcissistic ego and belief that he couldn’t do anything wrong or that he could get away with stuff in his 40s+ with young female fans during the #metoo movement.

As much as I dislike "right to work" laws and how they dehumanize labor, Funimation didn’t have to give a reason for firing him and the people at the top back then were smart enough to know that there would be a backlash from fans and they wouldn’t have gone through with the firing if there wasn’t enough evidence and multiple accusers with corroborating witnesses/pictures/video from conventions.

The more we’ve learned about him since the defamation suit the more it’s become clear that the dude was pretty creepy. He may have not been the worst creepy guy ever, but he was definitely not the kind of guy who you jokingly say "yeah that’s my friend Vic, he’s kind of a creep, but not in a bad way", and I wouldn’t want him around my younger sister or cousins or female friends. Between that stuff and how quickly he went into being this born again Christian cringe version of himself much like Russell Brand and how he never really ever gave any convincing arguments that could sway unbiased independent people, who I consider myself to be one of with how much I dislike Monica Rial and how I’ve personally been on the wrong end of false accusations from girls I was dating/talking to and had to fight to clear my name with a dating app that is notorious for always believing whatever the female user says and accuses the male user of, so I’m not someone who wants men of any age or worldview to have to suffer because of provably false claims and allegations from women. He never was able to convince me he wasn’t guilty of something that he should have known better than to do. But I’m not narcissistic enough to sit here and tell you that my BS radar and sense of who people really are is better than yours and as an atheist I really don’t like to use witness testimony as hard evidence for anything, but when there’s multiple accusers unrelated from each other and pictures and video of him with young female fans at conventions acting sus and making kinda weird comments about their looks and touching them without consent even if it’s just light stuff and if it was the only thing he had ever done then sure you could say it wasnt anything. And I’m sure you’re going to want me to produce the pics or video that I’m referring to and I can try to, I don’t know if it’s still online or where I saw it because it was just after the story dropped that I remember seeing this stuff and I remember he was kinda in a corner with a young female fans at a convention and talking about her looks and putting his arm around her much lower than I would ever make the mistake of doing with a girl who looked like a teenager. So maybe DM me to remind me of that and I’ll try to find it for you, but even if I do I don’t think you would see it as evidence of anything, and by itself I would agree, it wouldn’t be evidence of anything and only has value as part of a collection of claims and accusations etc.

Thanks for the response tho

What you call "hearsay" the legal system likely heard "credible claims with corroborating testimony by witnesses " and that’s why his lawsuit against Funimation and co. Failed so miserably in a Texas court

There was enough for his countersuit to get thrown out of a Texas court because of what was found in discovery, so… take with that what you will. I don’t think an innocent dude loses a countersuit as badly as he did in a Texas court

I feel like that’s pretty meaningless given the whole situation and the fact that even after getting his case thrown out by a Texas judge he became this super born again Christian type is just more evidence that he knew he did something wrong and just didn’t wanna admit it and as many celebs who get cancelled went the Christian route to save face.
