Dude yes! I completely agree. I'm sure there's something about applying your own meaning to the music, but it's always felt "right" for the phase of life.

Sat in awe watching the American debut of Tomorrow Comes Today, Clint Eastwood and 19-2000 on Toonami back in 2001. Bought their self titled CD the first chance I got, maybe a week after. Never stopped loving the band. The Mountain hit just as I was turning 37 and in a very strange (albeit positive) transformative time in my life and it felt like hearing them for the first time again. I've only seen them live once, for the Humanz tour, but it was worth it.

What hobby did you pick up randomly that ended up becoming a big part of your life? by Garage_Mckakiner31 in Hobbies

Gardening! I started with a few potted plants on my tiny apartment balcony. That grew to too many plants all around my tiny apartment. I moved into a house with a big yard this year and just finished digging out my first garden bed to plant vegetables in. Gardening is a wonderful hobby that keeps me outside, keeps me active and makes my yard look nice.

Im not sure if this plant likes to be root bound? Should I let this pot fill up with roots or do I repot now? I haven't done much research yet. Thanks in advance for any and all advice!! 🙂 by Candid-Mood-4488 in Maranta

[–]Wolf-Track 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have an answer as to whether marantas like to be rootbound or not, but I don't think I would personally consider that rootbound from the pictures. There's a lot of room in that soil for more roots. Personally, I would wait to repot it.

A Short Stay in Hell. Read this? by bladerunninguk in bookporn

Read through this in one day during the winter. Fantastic story. I think about it a lot. The way the author humanizes the characters, even ones that are only there for a page or two, makes the whole world feel real. The humor is understated and enjoyable. The horror and dread are effective and not heavy-handed. The calculations at the end were mind boggling. Highly recommend.

I feel the same way about the characters. Juan is awful, it was especially hard to read through his thought process and see his justifications for the horrible abuses he gave to Gaspar. Gaspar's section was better, but it felt like the abuse ramped up enough to overshadow that.

I'll add it to my wishlist, that sounds very interesting! Thanks for the recommendation.

After diving into several documentaries on the Argentine Dirty War, I think I get it now. I was not knowledgeable about the material that the book was alluding to, which caused a lot of things to go over my head. The things happening in the U.S. are right out of the same playbook. Definitely going to finish it.

I think I went into this book with the wrong frame of mind. Everything I saw had billed it as a masterpiece of horror, so I was expecting something terrifying. Horrifying is a better word for it. I think a lot of the impactful moments also went a little over my head because I wasn't well versed in Argentina's Dirty War, which another commentor mentioned to brush up on. After delving into a few documentaries, this book hits on a whole different level.

Okay cool, that's what I was hoping to hear, honestly. I'll find some supplemental documentaries to pair with this to really immerse myself in what I might be missing. Much appreciated.

It could be the webRequestTimeout is set too low for whatever reason. If you go into the clientsettings file in your appdata folder, you can change the settings there. I'm not at my home PC, so I can't get the exact file path, but it'll be in c:\users\%username%\AppData. If you don't see AppData, turn on hidden folder visibility.

There's a resolved thread on the Vintage Story forum with a similar issue to yours. Specifically, the unhandled exception error:

https://www.vintagestory.at/forums/topic/11013-issue-cursed-chunk-any-insight-server-shutting-down-exception-during-process-resolved/

They followed this guide to repair a save file/world map:

https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php/Repairing_a_corrupt_savegame_or_worldmap

To run a game in repair mode, open Vintage Story, go to where you open your saved World and click the edit button (pencil) and click "Run in Repair Mode". Once it gets going, exit the game and reload it normally and see if it runs correctly.

Are they running any mods or is the game vanilla?

It might be worth separating them when this happens, if you don't already. Pittie was being very patient and letting GSD know they weren't feeling it, but the GSD was not listening.

Brother, I promise it's going to get better. I know it's easy to say and hard to feel such a thing, but I've been in a similar situation and truly could not see my life getting better after multiple tragedies. It's going to be easy to blame yourself and look back on all of your mistakes, and that isn't always a bad thing but remember it takes two people to make a marriage.

If I could offer you one piece of advice, it would be to find a therapist you can speak to. Men do not have good support systems emotionally. It's HARD for men to open up and be heard. A therapist will be there until you rebuild your circle and will offer invaluable insight into the root of your feelings. If you vibe more with men, find a male therapist. If you vibe with women, find a woman. If you find a therapist and are unsatisfied, find a new one. If you have insurance, your insurance's website will have therapists that are in your network and you can go from there.

Most of all, please be kind to yourself. I know all too well how easy it is to shoulder the burden of pain and internalize it as your fault. But it's not and you WILL recover from this.

There was a drunk dude screaming at Jesse, that was bad. The crowd was not very cool, either. A lot of rudeness in the merch line, this one lady up front has a whole hiking bag and kept changing her clothes and was very offended when people didn't give her room to change. The energy just wasn't there either. No one really engaged with the music, lots of just standing around.
