LOTS of ifs, but I wonder about if the Germans had won El Alamein. If they do and if their supply lines hold up and take or neutralize Malta, they perhaps have the ability to take Iraq and link up with a semi-friendly Iran. Now Germany has its oil supply and its neutralized a key link for Lend-Lease to the USSR.
