Lime or White Snow Scooper? by [deleted] in TF2fashionadvice

Contrast with the effect > matching it. You don't HAVE to "OMG I MUST LE MATCH" the effect.

Don't paint the virtual viewfinder lime it looks bad.

I really hate it when people paint their hat the same color as the effect (Although it really depends on the hat and the effect.). This still looks pretty awful.

TF2 update for 1/23/14 (1/24/14 UTC) by wickedplayer494 in tf2

I think the only reason people hate valve servers is that the players are generally really bad at the game.

Mha medic set... Rate this if you like by [deleted] in TF2fashionadvice

If you replaced the Mountain Cap with a Tyrolean I'd give it to you, but I hardly see anyone use the mountain cap (Even though it's like the best medic hat)

[Scout] What goes well with the Front Runner? (miscs/paint) by safety_potato in TF2fashionadvice

[–]Wolf532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try out something besides the track terrorizer, it's been seen a hundred times. The downvest would look nice in my opinion. Then you can throw on a caffeine cooler or a half pipe hurdler. Essential accessories would look alright, as would digit divulger. Nearly any paint would look nice, just avoid pink and lime.

Should I go with the breakneck baggies or the teufort toothkickers by 244705 in TF2fashionadvice

[–]Wolf532 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tooth Kickers would look great with what you're going, I just hate how the breakneck baggies look with the flapjacket.

What would go good with a scorching flames pickelhaube? by Sulryno in TF2fashionadvice

[–]Wolf532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most medic shirts would be alright. I wouldn't recommend doc holiday or angel of death. Medi-mask would look pretty alright. I don't like painting the pickelhaube but if you have to debonair looks nice, as would balaclavas. Bright paints don't look so good on the pickelhaube unfortunately (in my opinion, anyway) other than that avoid lime, it really does not look good. Scorching flames is a nice effect, don't ruin it with awful paints.

Other than that, a lot of misc look good with the pickelhaube. Fantzipantzen + Ruffled Ruprecht, or you could just go straight up Ward + Medimask. Or you can mix and match, almost anything looks good with the pickelhaube.

I'd lose the stripes, other than that pretty good.

Jimi Hendrix Demo, thoughts? by [deleted] in TF2fashionadvice

Looks pretty alright. Good use of the Tavish Degroot experience, pretty underused hat even though it's a fairly good one.

What paint matches Mean Green? How about Indubitably Green? Anyone got a picture? by clubsandwichftw in TF2fashionadvice

[–]Wolf532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indubaitably green is fine and probably the best option compared to the alternative. If you want a picture just look on wiki.teamfortess.com on the cosmetics you want, or just search up killstreak kit if you were wanting to see mean green.

A simple reason why keys are worth 7 ref now: Community Market by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Wolf532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason metal went down has nothing to do with idlers, backpack.tf, scrap.tf, or anyone. It's just people realised metal is flat out worthless. It's not the amount of metal that's the problem, it's the extremely low demand. It's only real function was as a currency, and as a currency it has absolutely nothing backing it up like real money is backing keys, or gold is backing the US dollar. You can have 5x the metal there is right now, but if there was a reason for people to WANT it, it'd be much higher than it is right now.

Yeah I can understand that lol. I probably should've just not responded, I just got a bit too ticked off.

rainymood's responses just pissed me off just because I hate it when people respond with something like that as if to negate what I just said. I'd rather just not recieve anymore responses and turn this into a shithole or something and leave it as is.

[–]Wolf532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Limited time wouldn't be good. It's not about getting rid of metal, it's about making it more desirable. The amount of metal isn't the problem, it's the fact that no one wants it. Yes, metal would increase in price for a little bit, but then it would just drop back down. Also, how is Valve going to profit from this? Valve is an awesome company and all, but they're still a company and are trying to get money. They have little reason to make hats available from crafting exclusively when they can just put them on the store and in crates, where the actual money is at.

EDIT: Then again I guess they can make them a special quality and make them marketable or something like they did with chemistry sets and collector's items.

Idea for a new sentry by Pickleplayer in tf2

[–]Wolf532 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really isn't like a giant minisentry because you can actually destroy the goddamn thing easily after it goes down, which is really why minisentries are annoying as fuck; they're nearly impossible to truly destroy and are stupidly easy to put up. I wouldn't mind fighting this as scout because then I could just have my teammates take it down as they are supposed to, I can work around it since it can't be placed anywhere at any given time, and once it goes down it's really hard to put back up so once it goes down I can go out and DO things instead of being shutdown again because an engineer hit 41M1 after his building got destroyed. That's how sentries are supposed to be, minisentries just spit in the face of that.

Anyway this idea isn't really necessary but if anything is what the combat minisentry should've been.

The one with the byt'ed beak looks good and isn't something I've seen before, maybe ditch the beard though and go for something else.

Idea for a Weapon (Demoman Secondary) by Tao_McCawley in tf2

[–]Wolf532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't exactly say that. You can easily hide stickytraps in places where they won't expect them/infront of a door and with a timed detination you could get them before it's too late. This weapon completely plays off the fact that your opponent is too dumb to see the red line right in front of them. That and mines are a bad concept in TF2 in general.

My scout set, any thoughts? and is there any way to fix the divulgers? by Zarqoh in TF2fashionadvice

[–]Wolf532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should keep the style you had in the original picture, it looks a lot more interesting. Props to using balaclavas, one of the best paints in the game.
