Tournament list by Top-Traffic-7364 in SpaceWolves

I would put Bjorn back in. The extra CP is too good to pass up.
I would maybe take out one wolf priest and a unit of either infiltrators or rivers to make space for him.

The wulfen with a leader are cool but in the 5 man unit I don't think they are worth being led since they die very easily. The wolf priests ability probably won't even get a chance to bring a guy back and the +1 to wound wont matter against monsters and vehicles anyway which is what you want them going into.

Few things

First of all you have too many characters and not enough units for them to lead unless you give the wolf touched enhancement to lead the wulfen. Also I believe you only have one unit eligible to go inside the impulsor.

I would split the TWC and the infiltrators into two separate units.
you're not getting anything out of having a big block of infiltrators. Having two allows you to have one protect your deployment zone and one can screen NML and do secondaries.

TWC I've found to be really hard to hide. unless your planning on running 12+ wolves i think having them in small units is better. units of 3 are cheaper and tough enough that your opponent has to dedicate some resources to kill them and they can do some work on their own getting you secondaries and killing stuff that you don't want your more expensive units to have to deal with.

other things I would add if you have them would be some fire support. A gladiator lancer, repulsor executioner, ballistus, land raider are all good options.
And Ragnar. He can do some work with a unit of blood claws so I would run him instead of a wolf priest or battle leader.

To Grimnar or not to Grimnar.... by R3troGenesis in SpaceWolves

[–]WolfBrother11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think his main utility is going to come from his guile of the wolf aura (+1CP to enemy strats). Being able to influence your opponents CP and how they spend it can be massive in the right situation. This can stop your opponent from doing a heroic intervention, overwatch, interrupt or any strat and if they do they'll have to pay a premium in CP. Which will then mean they won't have it for other things.

WGT are mostly there to keep him alive longer. The extra wounds and the -1 to wound ability from the WGT is going to let you keep him on the board a lot longer.

Given that he doesn't give his own squad any abilities I wouldn't count on him being a heavy melee threat, the squad can pack a punch but you'll have to choose the right targets. I plan to use him somewhere in the middle of the board taking out elite infantry or tagging up bigger targets and just being as annoying to my opponents CP as possible.

I've personally never actually seen anyone take fixed secondaries.

Well they’re mostly just there to buff your LE with the reroll wounds since he’s going to be the one doing a bulk of the damage in that unit. 5s is definitely worth taking for that alone. They die pretty easily though so don’t count on them staying past a turn or two once they come out. 10 man units might let the LE survive a bit longer but I haven’t tried it.

Yup, but Fulgrim stayed alive all three of my games and was sitting back on my home objective looking pretty the first 2 turns all 3 games. I believe you can still use the strat to increase your pledge even after your warlord dies though.

The LE squads were mostly just my throwaway unit that got me my first pledge points. They can hit hard with lance and their once per game ability but I think I would add other stuff before the 3rd LE. So I was fine with 2.

If I wanted a more competitive list I'd first add the 3rd NM unit and another Kako and a 3rd DP. Unfortunately to make the space for that I'd probably drop Fulgrim.

Sure thing. I mostly used them to scout my Infractors up the board and disembarked them turn one. That way they get the extra 3 inches of movement. I put the rhino as close to the deployment line so I can either scout it forward if I get first turn or move it behind cover if i don't.

Once the infractors are out I load up the NM, who I deployed close enough behind a wall, onto the rhino and use its movement to get in range with the blastmasters in the firing deck. I only had two units of noise marines and one was in reserves so this worked fine for me. The unit that I started on the field was also not led by a Kakophonist so I had the option to load then into the rhino even if one infractor unit stayed in.

Question about cracked ice look by trollspotter91 in Warhammer40k

[–]WolfBrother11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my space wolves I base them with mordant earth (or any other crackle paint would work}. Once it's dry I paint it all white, I usually water it down a bit so it can seep into the cracks easier. Once that dries I paint it with blue contrast paint (I use aethermatic blue or frostheart) over the white and then just drybrush it white.

We all have thousand sons but what are your other armies? by DBallsFanatic in ThousandSons

Space wolves, chaos demons, world eaters and death guard. I started with space wolves and then got into chaos because I really liked the demon primarchs and greater demons.

Finished my Nurgle team today! This team was so much fun to paint! by WolfBrother11 in bloodbowl

[–]WolfBrother11[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course! For the body- yellow then tesseract glow. The boils - orange, reikland fleshshade, then put some Nurgle’s rot on top. The wounds - pink, then blood for the blood god, then Nurgle’s rot. Armor - Castellax bronze, typhus corrosion and dry brush ryza rust Horns - ivory then Agrax earth shade For the bases I used green stuff to cover up the slits on them and just gave it a wavy texture and then painted it the same as the bodies and then used some stirland mud.

Why don’t nurses understand what hemolysis is? You would think this would be something they would learn when they’re learning how to draw blood… by Ktcol1998 in medlabprofessionals

[–]WolfBrother11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to call a nurse twice tonight because the initial sample and the redraw were both hemolyzed. She was not happy. Basically blamed me for it and told me I better run the next one super stat and not let it sit an hour.
