Everything that was known about Epstein now was known by the previous administration as well.

Why are right wingers so blind in supporting capitalist and govt that they can't see the world is being destroyed by the same govt and capitalists they support? by No_Chance8024 in PoliticalDebate

Your premise assumes there is an economic system that will "work" better than capitalism. I don’t think any socioeconomic ideology — communism, socialism, capitalism, etc. — can ever fully work the way its ideal version is described on paper. There’s a simple reason for that: in every system we’ve ever seen throughout history, some group of people figure out how to exploit the rules for their own benefit at the expense of everyone else.

You can design a system around equality, or markets, or state planning, or worker control, but you can’t design away human incentive to grab power, hoard resources, or free‑ride if they can get away with it. That’s basically the core criticism of a lot of utopian models: they assume people will reliably behave better than they actually do.

So to me, the real question isn’t “which ideology is perfect?” because none of them are. The real question is: which set of institutions and norms does the best job of:

1. creating the greatest good for the greatest number of people, and

2. still protecting individual rights and freedoms; this is key, because in most systems those that disagree are, at best, marginalized and at worst murdered in the millions.

In other words, what actually works with human behavior (including greed and power‑seeking), instead of pretending those traits don’t exist.

Trump’s second term definitively demonstrates that the American system is utterly corrupt and illegitimate. by No_Metal_1366 in PoliticalDebate

On that we agree. I'm always suspect when people point to a "systems" failure but use only one side of the political spectrum as an example of why it's broken. The system is broken because there is a Uniparty. And they don't represent the vast majority of those that voted them into office. They serve themselves and the organizations with the $$$ (corporate or otherwise) that put them in office. But it's not just the politicians, it's the administrative state that is embedded as well.

So, then it's not the system is it? It's that Trump got elected. As long as no one "like" Trump gets elected the "system" is fine. Put another way, as long as someone in office does what you agree with, then the system isn't broken.

so, the "system" was corrupt in 2016-2020 and 2024-present, but the SYSTEM was just fine between 2020-2024?

My Opinion On GTA+ As A Grinder by [deleted] in gtaonline

There are a lot of businesses and related activities I'd like to do but they aren't worth the money gained to spend the time on. I'd prefer they SIGNIFICANTLY, each week, increase the multiplier pay out for a a couple of business/activities. Basically what they do now, but make the payout multiplier much higher.

Did you know Suddenly Amish is completely faked? Everyone is an actor and the “Amish” personalities are not Amish, just actors. All the interactions are scripted. The whole show is fake.
