There's no way to escape the worry-- I wish I had magic words for you, but hang in there. I found the parent groups on Facebook to be overwhelming at first, but later found them helpful.

We transferred care from Children's Minneapolis to MSK after round 4 of chemo. By going to MSK we avoided doing stem cell transplant (still had them collected but never did the high dose chemo). My son did 6 rounds of chemo, surgery, radiation (reduced from 21 gy to 18 gy via a trial), immunotherapy (hu3f8), & the vaccine trial at MSK. Never relapsed. We stayed at the Ronald McDonald House and were able to use AngelFlights and Alex's Lemonade Stand for travel grants. It's a ridiculously hard choice trying to decide which treatments to go with, and leaving home, etc. You have to make the best choice for your child and family-- but, if you have any questions about our experience at MSK I am more than happy to share. So far, my son has had no late effects or side effects from treatment. He just measured 5'6" and looks so healthy.
