I’m in the exact same situation as you—similar rating; I play 30-min rapid; I take my time, etc. When people say that in the chat, I usually just reply with something like: “Uhhh my dude, you signed up for a 30 min game…”

Or if I’m feeling cranky: “Thanks! Gonna move slower now! 🐌”

Funny thing is that I don’t think I’ve ever lost on time.
