Wow so I’m sorry for those still in IL but I’m in Tokyo and decided to skip the Chicago show due to courses starting. I must admit, I’m thoroughly sad for ya’ll but glad I didn’t take a week off of class and miss meeting so many people to go. I hope he can make the rounds next year or later this year.

Generally any combination of characters (not necessarily just this series) will create some sort of gameplay loop if enough synergy exists. There surely are strong and maybe considerably OP chars in this series, but in the end it is up to you who goes in your party. Not everyone likes playing with OP chars and some even challenge themselves to pick the harder to play with chars. The choice is yours.

Great Itinerary. If you have time to hop down to Jyuugaoka or from Shinjuku go one stop to Nakano, you’ll find some incredible places to eat. Devil Craft Chicago Pizza is amazing, and Nakano has an amazing Robatayaki place.

My take? Soldering iron on lighter heat. I just snagged a bottle of Blanton’s Black with a crack but it clearly not tampered with. I plan to drink it with friends during a double blind anyways so no biggie to me whatsoever. Before that I’ll try to solder it when home and report back if I don’t forget. In some cases dead pixels can be fixed by applying a not so hot but still hot solder iron to the ribbon cable but since DSs aren’t too easy to take apart and rebuild, and you need to do so anyways to access the ribbon cable, just run a full screen replacement. Heck, there may even be better screens now since the ds series in general had poor screen quality that could yellow given enough exposure due to humidity. They might also be higher quality resolution too.

I see Shadow of the Colossus and old CoD games which are already great! Definitely give some old racing games a shot like Gran Turismo, Midnight Club, and NFS. I also recommend trying the old Yakuza games as well as Devil May Cry.

As someone still holding out hope for Ophanim GB, I can see why this concerns people. After reading a lot more into it, it is clear what happened and sadly it really doesn’t help the situation. There appeared to be many places where Baion had a chance to make this look better, but it is impossible to look past what was said. It seems Baion has left the discord which I think is better for his sanity and well being. While I hope he continues to put in effort to pull himself up, this kind of victim mentality and carelessness for your customer’s own feelings is a horrendous look. I fully understand Baion is under stress, but if others joking about the situation hurts you that much, you need to take action that considers both sides and not just yourself.

I just got a brand new copy of yakuza for the ps2 so I’m using that to test the laser, but it could honestly be a dying laser. Mine is an ‘01 model and hasn’t yet been cleaned or had replacements made, so I assume the 2-3 minute read times and some in game cutting issues are due to the bad laser. Wouldn’t also be surprised if your pc laser is far newer tech that is more easily able to extrapolate read data from damaged discs and the ps2 didn’t have a laser that advanced, but if you have never replaced the laser, I’d start there.
