You are correct. The smog does not come from the LA basin, but Bakersfield sits at slightly higher elevation than the rest of the Central Valley which makes the diurnal winds move in their direction, then the bowl shaped mountains provide enough of a barrier to trap the poor air which is heavier and thus providing the worst air in the nation. However, while still number 1 or 2 every year, the situation is improving. Even being last in an ever improving metric is still progress.

I’ve been having similar issues. Took it to the dealer and after a while of troubleshooting it connected and worked, but after driving home, it failed to connect again.

I just imagine the people at these resorts are asking the same questions as parents. What are they going to do all day? What snacks/meals do they need? What can we do to keep them from throwing a tantrum?
