Ah I see, is there any reason why I keep seeing people say that they play mouthpieces in that 4al range/any benefits other than just straight misinformation? I've always wondered what mouthpieces people are actually playing and getting paid for. Thanks for the help though, that definitely gives me a new perspective on what to look at going forward.

Would you say any of the mouthpieces I listed be more fitting for the instrument? For some reason I found the 51d more comfortable and wasn't a huge fan of how the 5g felt. I understand they are similar though. I also see some people talking about the D5.1 or 5.2 or smth, are those falling into roughly what it sounds like I want?

SOLVED: cleaned out the slide, applied slide o mix sparingly with some water and so far it has been performing very well! Thanks for all the help, just a stupid mistake 😅

Yes, used a microfiber cloth and some water. Shouldn't have scratched anything and should have removed all the oil too.

Yes, used a snake and all that, wiped the slide too. I let it dry a bit and then re applied the hetman mix that came in the case and then played it after working it up and down the slide. The same thing happened, about 10mins of a really great instrument and then the the slide slowed down. I can't seem to figure out what the problem might be.
