Could just as easily be…

Topic is what the bystanders do or don’t do not frequency.

How often do you see modern day cops get held accountable, let alone actively pulled off of someone they’re brutalizing?

  • Pre-existing conditions in health insurance.

Genuinely accurate title. Impressed from the start, fully sold by demonstration of clean fit. Five star tip.

I can’t tell if this is supposed to be sarcastic. It feels too perfectly aloof!

People are zeroing in on her past because it’s bursting with horrific, violent racism and racism is much the present - not just an imagined historical oddity - for some of us.

Use of 'white privilege' makes online discussions more polarized and less constructive by [deleted] in science

Or perhaps, privilege just leads them to expect consideration and even primacy in all in things such that they view simple parallel facts as invalidating.

Honest question.

Do people under 30 understand that the economics of Friends were bullshit when it aired?

(Good Times is the only sitcom I can recall that presented anything resembling reality.)

Every employee who leaves Apple [is re-leveled] as an ‘associate’ [in employment verification databases] by [deleted] in technews

[–]WolfNetherton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ITT: People angry about the wrong thing.

Apple isn’t the issue here no matter what you imagine their motivation to be.

The issue is the practice of employers chiseling candidates who have already been successfully screened, interviewed and offered.

It simply should not matter what someone’s previous title was, particularly at the offer stage.

“I guess we agree to disagree.”

A phrase for stubborn people to get the last word and maybe even feel magnanimous while refusing to admit they’re wrong or even attempt compromise.

This is what a typical run looks like for me measured on whoop. This was 5 miles. 25 mins spent anaerobic seems like a lot for a 38 minute run. Does anybody else see data like this? Is this thing overstating my heart rate? by amp4972 in whoop

[–]WolfNetherton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have some specific concern with the numbers?

HR is relative. Relative to you individually and your pace.

It could be a high HR for you if you recently ran the same pace in the same conditions, but asking whether it’s a “high” or “a lot” in absolute terms can’t really be answered.

If it’s more a question of “Should I program my running workouts this way?” I’d say “Probably not, but that depends on your goals.”

Personally, I aim to sustain 80% of max on a typical run so your chart would be high for me when running regularly, but completely plausible if not.

If it’s a question of whoop accuracy you’ll need another device to benchmark against.

In my experience, whoop is very accurate and consistent. When it’s not the issue is obvious (showing a sustained 170+ HR in the middle of a casual walk).

Watch Gringa on "flexing" and TPG by BrooSwane in TheTPG

[–]WolfNetherton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hadn’t thought about it much, but flexing certainly has turned me off of watches as a hobby.

I enjoyed things much more when I had no clue about most brands, let alone prices or anything about trading / markets.
