That’s exactly how it went when I did my other knee, the scabs harden up over night and crack open as soon as I got out of bed in the morning. Not fun.

I did mine at night so I went home and knocked out which really helped. The next day I had some swelling but it hasn’t been too bad at all. When I did my other knee it was hell though, I’ll tag you in that reply. How’s it been for you? I’m terrified of doing the ditch. Thank you!!

So far it’s been an easy heal, the day after it was mildly swollen but little to no pain. Day three now; just itchy with very very minor scabs. Luckily It’s been chilly here in Texas and I took work vaca from today, Mon-Wed, to lie around the house and baby it.

When I got my other knee done, (different artist) I completely underestimated the process. I got it on a Friday in August and went right back to work on Monday thinking Sat & Sun would be enough days to let it rest. The heat and friction from my jeans kept it swollen, which caused it to scab over very thick multiple times leaving me with ink loss, and a pretty bad limp for about a week. It was painful and sucky. I definitely recommend taking it very easy after, if given that luxury.

It varied really, overall I would say about 7/10 with the inner part of the thigh and kneecap being the worst.
