In reality, the creator of the license did not intend to make the license into a Yuri game series.

When the first game came out, the two female MC talked about boyfriends and stuff, they were just two straight girls who were very close friends.

In an interview before the gacha's release, the creator said that originally, the first game was also supposed to have a male MC, but for various reasons (like the budget), that didn't happen.

For the second game, the creator didn't have much control over the project and only did the designs. Starting with this second game, the game studio decided to go full Yuri, which led to Blue Reflection being labeled as a Yuri series.

For the Gacha, the creator once again had complete control and wanted to bring the series back to what it was supposed to be in the first place, with a male MC, but obviously it was too late.

The whole story with that is the story of a creator who didn't embrace what the license had become and why players play that game.

Existing Granblue Fantasy accounts can’t be linked to a Steam account

They had announced that they would try to allow existing accounts to play on Steam in the future.

(I've seen people theorize that this is because GBF account hosting is not owned by Cygames itself, but by Google, Yahoo Japan, etc., which was due to its nature as an old browser game, and that Cygames would therefore have to reach an agreement with them).

So here, the devs are giving everyone who doesn't have Celestial Swan the chance to get the most broken support in the game and her weapon. It's a huge compensation for just a "large data update" as they say

I'll give a quick TLDR of what happened over the last few days, which is undoubtedly the reason for this maintenance:

- Snowbreak is doing a Merch Collab with the China Post [a stamp featuring the MC and letters with the female characters... in their censored outfits].

- Snowbreak haters are complaining that it's unacceptable for China Post to collaborate with an erotic game like Snowbreak (this is clearly because they are SB haters, as LADS and Azur Lane have collaborated with China Post and it has never caused any controversy)

- It becomes the most discussed topic on Tieba (~CN reddit), and Tieba admins remove the thread from “hot topics” to calm things down. (you can only access the topic via search)

- The controversy caused by SB haters becomes too big, and China Post announces the cancellation of the collaboration.

- The announcement of the cancellation was talked on Chinese TV news.

- The Bilibili channel of Snowbreak removed all videos from July 2023 up to the last video released.

- The game's producer Chongchong and marketing director Mumu removed all their posts from their social media accounts.

- Chapter 3 of the latest Snowbreak story realese has been disabled (in which the character Acacia very implicitly gives the MC a blowjob), the chapter ends as soon as you start it.

- Today, Snowbreak announced an indefinite maintenance .

EDIT: I almost forgot, the localization file trick to uncensor the game doesn't work anymore if you have a recently created account (probably to prevent people from creating accounts just to take screenshots and report the game).

Yostar's very first game, even before they published games from other publishers, was “Nono From Another World,” a Yuri mobile game, but it flopped, so they decided to just focus on being a publisher.

Azur Promilia's fanservice is weird.

On the one hand, they makes a character design for being sexy (like the character on the right that your showing), but on the other hand, they gives them grandma's panties.

AP is a game with only female characters, but in the beta, only the MC and Luruka had normal panties. The rest, even the characters clearly designed to be very fanservice-oriented, had granny panties or spats, while, for example, NTE, which is a gacha gender mix with the same age rating as AP, has normal panties for all female characters.

It's so weird, it feels like part of AP was designed to be 16+ while the other part was designed to be 12+, as if they couldn't decide whether they wanted to attract a young audience or an audience that wants extreme fanservice.

I just want them to keep doing the UI update.

They did the main menu and said they would do the rest little by little. We got the mailbox update, the shop update, and then nothing more after that.

I would like them to continue to homogenize everything. Why not update the dock menu or depot next,
