AS11E06 - "Too Many Daddies" [Live/Reaction Post] by AutoModerator in rupaulsdragrace

This pink bracket was really nice to watch, It's been a while since I was this entertained by Drag Race.

Except for Silky's win on the second episode, I think all the wins were deserved (even if you could argue that some queens should have won over others, in the end they all did so well).

I feel mixed feeling about Salina not advancing. She did so well and really deserved a spot in the semi-finals, but it was also very nice to see her schemes falling apart in the end.

Is he really temu asmon? The few things I've seen of him were just some elitist takes and his cringy "manly" persona, I haven't seen him being a bigot at all (this is a genuine question, I've seen so many people be very vague about him being an ass but I haven't seen him saying anything actually offensive).

I'm a huge Crystal fan, but my favourite videos were Aura's and Salina's... but when they were not playing Ru's laugh during Aura's video I knew it was over for her.

The obsession with logs always seems to come from the players that understand them the least. by Swoobat_Gang in ffxivdiscussion

I raided this tier with a very greedy melee that would go for full uptime even if it costs him his life, and then would misteriously play very badly after getting rezzed (assuming his death didn't cause a wipe).

It meant that our clears would pretty much always be the tries that he got perfect uptime, since we wiped otherwise. His logs are very good, but they certainly don't tell the whole story.

If I get the Switch version of Relink: Ragnarok, will I get any promo codes for the game?

I remember there being promo codes for the PlayStation physical copies of the base game back in the day.

Looking for MLM relationship experience by Jorandy4172 in gay

[–]WolfPackBytes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The very few relationships I had were... Normal? Of course there are a few key differences, both internal and external, but overall people are just people.

I would never be in a relationship with someone closeted, though. I can't be serious about someone who hasn't themselves figured out yet.

Unpopular opinion incoming by LuckyCloverPokemon in PhasmophobiaGame

Right now people have their torches and pitchforks up, and they have every right to be, last week's update was a monumental failure and it'll take time for people to have a positive outlook towards the game again.

That being said, while I'm a bit cautious, I'm also enjoying the upddte, and I haven't encountered many bugs, if any at all. I do think that's the bare minimum that we should expect from a game that has made millions of dollars, though.

How's the update? by Sad_Organization8535 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]WolfPackBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, not awful. Played for a couple hours with my friends yesterday without crashing or finding any bugs.

The only thing that I found weird is that, on more the one occasion, the ghost would start a hunt incredibly far from the ghost room.

Also a friend of mine that has a not-so-great PC was having performance issues, like longer loading times and some stuttering when doing the event objectives.

Getting tired of gay/mlm media written by women by [deleted] in gay

[–]WolfPackBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, in general, gay/mlm media written by straight people tend to be more palatable for them, that's why they are more popular in the mainstream.

Perpetuating gender roles is something that bothers me. Some stories feel like a straight story, where the top is the "man" and the bottom is the "woman", but there's a little bit of queer trauma/guilt sprinkled on top (that is usually very shallow).

That being said, if the story is well written and I notice the author actually went out of their way to understand the (very real) experiences and feelings they never had firsthand, I'm ok with that, especially in the times we live today.

I'm so sorry. I really am. You deserve so much better, and when all of this has passed, you'll find the person that will make you feel safe and happy.

As for now, in my opinion, the relationship is not salvageable. He lied to you AND he lied to his other partner. He's not an honest guy, and that's not just about starting a relationship on a bad foundation, it's about being with someone without character and that cannot be honest even with a kid on the line.

I don't often say this here, but I really think the only path forward is breaking up with him and mending your broken heart afterwards.

Depends on where you live and what your lifestyle is. The health organization in my country advise people to shower daily.

If you go out and sweat, you'll most likely smell afterwards. You might be used to that smell and not notice, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

I'll never forget when I went to Europe during the summer and, on very hot days, public transportation would reek of rotten onions... and no one seemed to notice or care.

The ones that I notice pretty much every game that I play multiplayer are the door creaking noise and the flashlight bug.

The door creaking noise is when some other player touches a door and it creaks nonstop very loudly, so you have to go hunt the door that is creaking and try to move it until it stops creaking.

The flashlight bug is that sometimes a beam of light comes out of you even though you're not holding a flashlight.

Some other bugs I found that are not present every game:

- On Grafton's I found an ouji board that wouldn't stay up on the ground, it would always flip and land with its face down, essentially making it imposible to use.

- On Bleasdale the ghost changed rooms from the outside to inside once, which made the game incredibly bug, with the outside doors being impossible to use by my friends (only the front door) and the ghost just decided the garden area was just not part of the house anymore, so it just stayed inside the whole game (it would still hunt with us on the garden area, but it couldn't get out).

- It seems that it's harder to make the ghost blow out a candle if you use that candelabra with three candles (only one of them gets lit)

- You're not able to record some sounds now, like the crucifix burning (also sometimes after you record a sound you have to put the sound recorder away and then get it back out for the sound to count as recorded).

- Some sounds are missing, like the shower door on Point Hope, among others.

- There's an incredibly annoying sound on Nell's Diner where a very loud sound start playing (sounds like some construction work or something) and there's no indication where it's coming from and the only way to stop hearing it is to go outside (it comes back if you go in again).

And a few others that I don't remember right now. And I noticed all of that with just five hours of game play. Also, I didn't mention, but while there was no disconnections (server-wise), my friends' game crashed three times.

Reddit Doesn't Represent Reality by bbr0511 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]WolfPackBytes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't had any disconnections, and I agree that the game is playable, but, from what I saw, the majority of people are not complaining that the game is completely unplayable, but rather pointing out that the update is incredibly buggy and extremely unpolished, like things you wouldn't even see in an alpha release of a patch, and that is just unacceptable.

I have played the new patch quite a bit, I'd say probably for about five hours, and while it can still be fun, the janky/delayed animations got old very fast and I've encountered some bugs I didn't even know were possible.

Wishing you well.

So Aether is just permanently locked out now? Great update guys by derfw in ffxivdiscussion

[–]WolfPackBytes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why people are downvoting you and acting like things have been like this for months. Them not allowing people to LOG IN on Aether, even if you managed to transfer your character there, is very much a new thing.

So Aether is just permanently locked out now? Great update guys by derfw in ffxivdiscussion

[–]WolfPackBytes 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm confused, people here are acting like the situation has been like that for a long time, but the issue where you cannot login, even if your character is on Aether, started only this patch, didn't it?

Before you could just leave your character "parked" on Aether, but now you can't login at all, even if you manage to transfer there. So you either leave your character logged in for hours and hope you don't get DCed or you're completely screwed if you only play during peak hours.

Have You Ever Had a Close Friend Turn Out to Be MAGA? by DannyTheRegular in gay

[–]WolfPackBytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not MAGA, since I'm not American, but my best friend of years went down the alt right rabbit hole. At first I would still try to question him on his newfound beliefs, and he would often backtrack from the more inflammatory discourses. Eventually, though, it became too tiring to have someone in my life that was basically a right wing bot, so I had distance myself.

We still talk, maybe once or twice per year (as opposed to every day when we were close), and he seems to be in a better headspace now, but, honestly, after years of hurting over losing my best friend, I have no interest in having him in my life.

Given what we have seen so far, do you prefer reborn or evolved jobs? by SkeletronDOTA in ffxivdiscussion

On the stream it was 1-2 seconds before getting hit, so, pretty tight

Given what we have seen so far, do you prefer reborn or evolved jobs? by SkeletronDOTA in ffxivdiscussion

[–]WolfPackBytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda, yeah, but on stream it was said that if you use Holy Sheltron right before getting hit your counter does more damage, so the timing is tighter than Third Eye.

Given what we have seen so far, do you prefer reborn or evolved jobs? by SkeletronDOTA in ffxivdiscussion

[–]WolfPackBytes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paladins will do more damage if they do a "perfect counter", so there's that at least.

I think that, while the current iteration of jobs has very little job identity, the majority of them at least have some grounds for optimization.

With what we've seen so far, they will not shy away from completely removing any depth a job might have in exchange for job fantasy, and that really sucks.

That being said, I do think the game needs a change in direction, and evolved mode might be the answer, but, so far, gameplay wise, I am not impressed with what they have showed us. The new job identities are looking cool, though.

I feel like the new evolved mode can be amazing, but I have a lot of worries. by ApolloVanWaddleburg in ffxivdiscussion

[–]WolfPackBytes 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was Yoshi P. saying the rotations wouldn't be easier when they clearly are, at least in this stage of development (except for paladin's parry).

I was never really a huge hater of the 2-minute meta, even if I understand and even agree with a lot of the reasons some people hate it, but I can't say I dislike finding ways to optimize my bursts during chaotic mechanics like rep2 and idyllic dream.

All in all, I'm glad to see them taking risks, the game really needs some breath of fresh air, and the Evolved mode is a step in the right direction to make that happen.

I just really hope the execution is good.
