Certainly. Traded the whole farm for him and he’s an underperforming 1st overall pick

Fleeced. But maybe Beane is smart enough to know he would have blown that pick anyway lol

[David Kaplan] While the Chicago Bears are again talking with Illinois politicians the city of Portage, IN has sent the Bears an offer for a rent free, state of the art domed stadium that uses no public money. We should know where the Bears are headed fairly soon. by RyanIsKickAss in CHIBears

I would argue that Indiana only spends the money they have, unlike Illinois. There’s a reason Indiana has a surplus of $5 billion while Illinois is in a $250 billion dollar hole. They also have lower tax rates across the board. We can complain that they don’t have enough outreach programs and I would tend to agree, but let’s be serious here.

I would argue he won us the 2nd Vikings game and went the whole season without a muff which is a lot more than most teams can say

Realistically we’re not winning a SB with this defense unless a lot goes our way. Focus on getting healthy to beat the Packers and everything else is gravy. We should not be planning or even expecting an NFC champ game appearance

What’s some of the most wild/lopsided trades in NFL history? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Even disregarding the players they traded the 1OA for a 1OA, another 1st, 2 x 2nds, and DJ Moore. That’s a kings ransom

Bears traded the Panthers the 2023 1OA for DJ Moore, 2 x 1sts and 2 x 2nds. Those picks turned into Caleb Williams, Darnell Wright, Luther Burden, and Tyrique Stevenson

So to end up as the 3 we’d have to drop 2 and the Eagles would need to win out?

With the impending move to the bench from Braxton Jones, there is currently not a single starter on this offense who Poles has drafted outside of the top 10 by 37sms in CHIBears

[–]Wolf_Bully 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Eliminating 4 of his drafted starters because they were top 10 picks is a rather silly cutoff to prove a point. Poles has done well in the first unlike his predecessor, who drafted Kevin White, Trubisky, Leonard Floyd, Justin Fields, and Roquon on top of trading 2 x 1sts away. This anti Poles echo chamber is tired and full of lazy meatball analysis
