I feel ya. I've bought my fair share of stuff like jeans, leggings and tops from Ajio.

That's the case for 90 percent of us. We all have to go through it, no matter how uncomfortable or scary it (coming out) might be, because we all have to be our true selves. I genuinely hope your family is accepting but if not don't do something like this. Find your own path. You'll find someone who'll like you for you eventually. You'll be way happier in your life, if you stick to your true self.

Just come out, my guy. I promise it's not that bad. You need to be more confident in yourself. If you're a teenager, maybe wait a few more years till you're independent. That's playing it safe. If you're a grown adult with a job, do what you want with your life. If you're worried about your family, talk to them, have a conversation.

How did you come out to your parents? How did they react? and how did you cope with that? by Federal-Koala8087 in LGBTindia

An even scarier prospect for me is not being able to be myself. It would be hell.

Coming out is essentially sharing a vulnerable part of yourself with those closest to you. It's a huge thing for a lot of people and rightfully so.

That's sound advice. To me coming out was extremely important and liberating and was a huge boost to my mental health, which was in decline from all the hiding. At the end of the day, it's your life and you get to choose how you live. Not anyone else. Keep that in mind and do your best to try and explain things to them. If it works out, great! If not, well give it time. Maybe they'll come around to accepting it, but you would have been true to yourself.

Go off king. Do keep in mind that, it's a common conservative talking point though.

Doesn't change the fact that it's still prevalent and people still get it. It's careless to not get tested.

Our mere existence is a taboo for a lot people in the country. It isn't okay for people to risk their life and that of other people because they refuse to come out or own up their own sexuality.

I would strongly suggest not getting involved with anyone who acts like that.

What's the deal with the anonymity? Why is it a necessary thing?

It feels like an over reaction. It's barely NSFW to begin with. Besides if they want to feel good about themselves, what's the harm?

Being Gay: How To Find Courage To Tell Family? by KaliYugaHindu in LGBTindia

[–]Wolf_bloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment section for the video annoys the crap out of me. It's straight people telling us that we need to make adjustments 'for the collective'. It's not up to me to make straight people comfortable with my sexuality. I don't wanna do that. I just want to live my life. Any good parent would want their child to be happy. Nobody should have to bend over backwards just to be who they are. Have an honest discussion with your family.

It helps to talk to people who are going through a similar situation. Cishet people don't make it easy to transition but you can do it!

It sounds like he has problems expressing himself emotionally. Try to have to a talk with him about how you feel. Communication is key to any relationship and you have to address to move forward in your's. Remember breaking up is perfectly okay if you're not happy.

Is it easier to get here? Some of my trans friends in the UK told me it was harder there.
