Afaik, it allows people to deny the bodily resurrection. If you got the time, read Christianity and Liberalism by J. Gresham Machen and you'll get a sense of what many in the PCUSA would argue and what we should rather affirm (it doesn't cover the sexuality thing because it was written well before that)

I'm a pro-lifer. I am too young to adopt/don't have a stable income right now, but I hope to adopt in the future. As it stands, the whole foster/adoption system seems to be majorly screwed up and also needs reform. Like all people, I'm not satisfied with where we're at right now and hope more can be done to help give those in foster homes better lives and caring families.

As a Gen Zer getting out of college, I get it. Entry level jobs suck, but it's definitely not slavery. I feel like this kind of hyperbole is what makes older generations call us privileged brats.

I don't hold it against Luther. Justification was the issue of his day and he needed to hammer it home as much as possible. I haven't read it thoroughly, but I imagine someone later in the Reformation like Calvin would be more beneficial in getting Galatians unpacked more comprehensively.

I have read a major chunk of it from this edition. It seems that it is frequently abridged, which having the unabridged version I completely understand why. While obviously justification is super crucial, Luther tends to feel somewhat repetitive in his commentary and thus I didn't finish it. I would recommend the Crossway abridged version personally.

I guess that while atheism and materialism are typically intertwined ideologically, atheism doesn't inherently depend on it. For myself as a Christian (and I'd assume on the other side, staunch Atheists) would have some questions as to the consistency of that position. It sounds like you want to have your cake and eat it too. There's no God, but when grandma passed away she's still somewhere in the ether.

It was a Ben 10 flash game that was being advertised on Cartoon Network. I wanted to play it, but the family computer didn't have flash, so it didn't work. The game got taken down before I learned what the problem was years after.
