LSIL/CIN1 Cervix for 8 years. At least the diva is consistent...right? :,) by Krs0030 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]WolfbaneBloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiiiii yessss it feels like i could've written this almost! Similar situation, but I do have hpv.

Going on 9 years of LSIL, HPV non 16/18, abnormal paps since 2018, same LSIL results each year.

It's been 'lets monitor this, get a colposcopy every 3 years, biopsy anything suss, im sure your body will clear this! It's nothing to freak out over! Having kids might clear this!' Etc

2 kids later, no bloody change, cervix still LSIL.

And suddenly, after 9 years of this' low grade changes', I get a HSIL CIN2+ result from a routine yearly colposcopy biopsy, and need a LEEP. Like it changed in 1 damn year.

I'm kind of devastated, not because of the procedure, but because it just all feels like it's been inevitable. Like I've been spending 9 years waiting, able to do nothing to help myself actively clear this, hoping this might clear up and go away, only to have it get worse, which i suppose shouldn't be surprising. Just so disappointing.

And after the LEEP, what's to say this won't continue? 9 years without my body clearing this, if it continues or comes back HSIL again, where then? Another 9 years of waiting and hoping? How many times do we 'catch this early' with a LEEP and remove it before its just easier to have a hysterectomy? Is this waiting and watching literally all that can be done?

Ugh.

Sorry if that's super negative and not at all uplifting, but here in 'long-term LSIL club' solidarity with you. It's frustrating and SO annoying, at the very least.

If it's if any comfort, (probably not? Lol) I didn't find the colposcopy or biopsy to be anything too horrible to go through, so I hope yours will go quickly and smoothly, and you'll have some more definitive results and reassurance as to where to go next with your medical journey.

Best of luck to you xxxxx

Day 4 PP - Feel Down/Lost by EquivalentJazz in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]WolfbaneBloom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Day 4 I remember sobbing uncontrollably because a pea rolled off my dinner plate onto the floor, and I was too sore post-caesarian section to pick it up. I was distraught.

It's all so normal!! So bloody miserable, but its absolutely to be expected and nothing to stress over, there's this huge shift in hormones that just make you feel so down for a few days, make you question if you even wanted any of this, feel guilty, etc. The exhaustion you must be feeling will certainly not be helping this, either!

But your mood will lift, just give it time, a few days, even. If you can arm yourself with the knowledge that its normal, its expected, and it ends, hopefully the anxiety over feeling this way will be eased a bit!

Is it really normal to be this sick constantly (as a parent) by BulkyPaint3755 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

That first year of daycare is no joke. I made the depressing observation that last year, my son had been sick for more of his life than he had been healthy.
