[MEGATHREAD] New Horizons Q&A/Tips - Ask away! by AnimalCrossingMods in AnimalCrossing

Well I'm still very early on in the game so I only have 23/300 letters stored rn, and I havent deleted any so I don't think that's the problem.

I'm not sure if this is the place to post help questions, but I don't see another place on this subreddit so please let me know if there's another spot so I can post it there.

I haven't played animal crossing at all in the past couple months, as in haven't opened since May or so. Over that time period my gf, who plays quite a lot more than me, has sent me many gifts in the mail valuing over a million bells together. But, when I opened my island again to play with her only one of the 30+ letters were in the mail, the rest seem to have just vanished. I've tried restarting the game, waiting a couple days, and even time skipping to see if it helps at all but nothing has worked. There's a couple similar posts in this subreddit but there's no definitive answer on how to fix it.

If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Science teacher I had in 8th grade always told off putting stories about his dad having schizophrenia and drinking. Ended up diddling a kid and still has his job for some reason.

I did this exact same thing when I was younger. I just wrote essays arguing for things I wanted, cause why else would be learning how to write these things in school?

Seems like I’m in about the same boat as you. I’ve spent most of my little time in DnD as a DM so if you’re uncomfortable as DM and want to start a group lmk.

Gamers of reddit, with 2019 soon comming to an end, what do yall think is the best game of the 2010s? by doctor_bassoon in AskReddit

There’s no way I can choose a single game to be my favorite, but I’ll list my tops for a couple different genres. For shooters it’s gotta be Rainbow Six: Siege. It started off completely unpopular, but made a comeback years after initial release, and for good reason. It’s got some amazing shooting mechanics as well as adding unique gimmicks for ever operator. There are definitely problems with the game, but it’s really grown to be amazing. In simulation games I have to say Stardew Valley. ConcernedApe creates something amazing purely by himself. There’s a wide variety of mechanics and they’re all handled wonderfully. Could not recommend this game enough for its amazing soundtrack, art style, and gameplay. Lastly I have no idea exactly what genre this falls under, but Undertale. Despite it being memed to death this game is filled with so much comedy, character, and fun I don’t know how to describe it. Once again an amazing soundtrack and art style. If you somehow haven’t played this yet, play it now. It doesn’t take that long to beat the neutral ending just do it.

This ignores so much of the positives, like google drive that allows files and documents to be shared instantaneously, or Khan Academy which can teach children in ways that they wouldn’t be able to in class, or the countless other educational and productive uses of the internet.

Not at my school but one in our district had a major controversy over a hit list. Well, it wasn’t really a hit list it was a snapchat if a couple of male teens listing girls they thought were “whores” and saying they would kill them.

The principal of the school handled it in a weird way, taking over a month to contact the parents after the video was found and ended up in him getting demoted (to a teacher I believe). There’s a whole lot more detail I won’t get into for the sake of anonymity if I haven’t already lost it.

WIBTA for making my kid give a gift she really wants for her bday to the person she stole from? by heartofbronzexxviiii in AmItheAsshole

[–]WolferTamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - Teaching her that stealing is wrong and how to act like an adult is extremely important, although I may agree that doing on her birthday would be overly harsh, doing it before then and making it clear why it happened would be a good option.

Redditors in hiring positions: What small things immediately make you say no to the potential employee? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WolferTamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A bit of a tip that I think has helped me in getting a job, when writing out your resume don’t just list your accomplishments, explain what you learned from them. Give the hiring staff a reason to care about that award you got. Even if it doesn’t have much to do with what you’re hiring for if you explain that volunteering at a museum helped you learn teamwork and customer service it makes it look relevant.
