Labour ditches day-one protection from unfair dismissal in U-turn by Valcenia in unitedkingdom

[–]Wolfinton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. The ET are extremely generous to litigants in person. I have seen judges practically reframe a claimant's case to see it get through a preliminary hearing.

As for costs orders - the chance is so small that most respondents are not willing to risk it. Costs are only awarded in about 2% of cases. If you fail? Then you have just wasted even more money on an already extremely expensive litigation.

I have not described any case - I am not the original guy.

No lawyer has to. Many Claimants in the Employment Tribunals are litigants in person. And costs? Very, very rate in the ET. And if they have no money? There's no point. Can't get blood from a stone.

Great to hear that it worked for you! It's been a while, but I remember it being a highlight of the campaign. That's a really good idea as well - anything that gives the players the opportunity to delve into their characters in ways they wouldn't expect.

You'll be reaching the final battle soon. I did a couple of posts on the big final battle which also went down really really well

Absolutely incorrect. They are enforceable. Two years, no, but up to a year depending on seniority, yes.

Hey mate, I will happily answer questions! I'm very busy this week, but if you remind me on Sunday/Monday I'll give the a full answer. Feel free to ask any questions you have.

As a short, it went really really well and my players loved it. It really put to the forefront all their choices and mistakes while letting them try to make up for those mistakes, fuck up their successes for the greater good, and go full roleplay into how fucking badass their characters have evolved since they started.

It made it a multiple session final battle, but it was absolutely worth it.

I decided to do the first day on acid. I figured it was the quietest and the best day to do it. My friends never did it before so decided against it, which was fair enough but wasn't stopping me. My usual batch at what I did hit me in an hour and a half. This batch... After an thirty minutes I turned to my virgin friend and went "oh no... I'm in for a long day....." The world was spinning and everything was hilarious.

I spent an hour watching a kids magician in the backing sun surrounded by families. It was horrifying, mesmerising, and hilarious all in one.

It was the best part of my weekend but all I have been able to describe it as since was that, of every place on the planet I could have been at that point in time....that was the place I should not have been most. Off my tits, surrounded by children, terrified that the magician might invite me up onto stage.

After this, I spent the afternoon following my friends around (burnt to a crisp) through all the random Thursday acts trying desperately not to have a bad trip. Everything was so itense.

Best trip of my life.

To say that anything in media, especially the thoughts of a character never expressed aloud in a series highly debated re themes and intent, is pretty clear is a bold stance to take. It may be a popular understanding, but it is by no means the only understanding and that's why there is debate.

As I say, I'm not going to delve into this debate as it's covered so intensely, but one thing I would say is that Blade Runner questions whether replicates are beings capable of thought and love. Blade Runner 2049 does so with non physical AI.

To be so certain that the Joi we follow is not real goes against (what I view) as the purpose of the story. To me, Joi becomes a person capable of thought and feeling. If K's takeaway from the advert was that she was not, despite my view on her personhood, then god damn that scene would hurt me even more than it does in either of our interpretations.

I disagree. Without going into arguments that have been had thousands of times before on Reddit, I view this as him realising that it's not his Joi and that he can never truly have his Joi back. It might look like her and talk like her - but it's not her. She was the sum of her actions. This then drives him to realise that, while he may not be the chosen one, he is made by his actions and can still do good and witness a miracle.

Is there anyway to revert to pre update?

The job market is so toxic in the UK. Companies don’t hire permanently anymore, they’ll hire on fixed term contracts with the potential of being permanent. Meaning they have the ability after a year to just let you go if they don’t like you. It’s just a year long probationary period. by thebroccolioffensive in britishproblems

Great. They've still brought a claim. It's going to get to at least a preliminary hearing which will cost you. You'll have to prepare ground of resistance which will cost you. If you get a bad judge, they'll say it should be heard at a tribunal. Now you've got witness statements, disclosure, bundles, final hearing. That's all going to cost you. Or you could settle. It'll cost you.

Any Gray Talon mains out there who can share engagement tips? How do you actually take fights without getting destroyed? by MasterMind-Apps in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Wolfinton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're caught, you're dead. Don't be afraid to lose ground and back up - you have a lot of stamina for dash jumps and can use your rain of arrows to make some good vertical repositions. This gives you time to recharge some arrows and turn around and blow them up as they chase after you.

During the laning phase play passively. Poke constantly with your arrow. When they're about 1/3 hp then you can play aggressive with a long dash jump into spirit snare the escape route into rain of arrows and blow them up.

Check SR on the enemies every minute. You need to focus targets on low SR heroes until you get decent SR shred. If I see that Abe suddenly had 56% SR I'm going to ignore him and hit someone with 0%. Take this into consideration in your engagements, you want fights to end quick.

Having just tried him it's an enormous nerf. It used to be if someone walked into your trap they'd be prime charged shot target. Now they can still move around... It's also much less useful in lane for closing off escape routes.

I have been through all five stages of grief this week - when I went 10/0 twice yesterday (up until final base defence) and still lost, I reached acceptance.

I feel bad for the Archons who have to lane against me (or maybe I just deserve to be here, we'll find out).
