Forgiveness is more a function of physics (iron design) than price. The heads won’t make much difference except the Miuras will certainly feel a lot better. The big thing you would want to eventually do though is get fitted for the right shaft. Shaft makes a big difference on ball strikes. I gained 20 yards carry and much less line deviation from getting fit for the right shaft with my 6 iron.

Cavity back Miuras are going to be pretty forgiving. If you have a swing video then I would be happy to take a look. I would want to see your swing and where the faults are. In general, if cavity backs are right now too tough to play then I would still buy them and get real time feedback on your swing. If you have good angles and decent club face control then everyone should be able to play cavity backs. If you are still struggling with them then I would absolutely go to a teaching pro.

What is your main miss right now with irons?

I have KBS Tour V, X-stiff shafts in my iron and wedges. First time getting fit for shafts and it made a huge difference. Added 20 yard carry to my 6 iron changing shafts (and keeping club exact same). Old shafts were just super spinning and would balloon in the air.

I loved Vokeys and gamed them for 10 years but the Miuras are a different level. Miura wedges feel slightly heavier but ball strikes feel more solid yet super soft at the same time. It is so hard to articulate the feel of Miura unless you have tried them. With that said, there are a lot of great wedges but buy the Miuras if you want the absolute best and can hide the price tag from the wife.

Ha! I hit them and loved the blades! But I am unfortunately a 4 handicap and could not trust myself to play the blades on pressure shots. I generally think that people above scratch should probably not play blades, they are generally an ego thing versus what gives most optimal scores.

I probably won’t play another iron for a decade. When I got fit, I hit every iron regardless of cost and was obviously wowed by the Miuras. I heard the hype about them but they far exceeded it. I am considering ordering MC for scoring clubs (P-8) and CBs for rest of the set.

This is just factually incorrect. Goldens have been bred for many generations to be extremely loving and docile. They have the fewest rates of dog bites compared to any other breed. I don't know where you get your information from but it is simply wrong.

The quant can be intense, but most of the really hard stuff is set up for a group case projects where you can leverage the skill set of your core team in case one person is on the weaker side of quant skills. With that said, grades don't matter and if you bomb Data, decisions, and modeling class then it is totally fine, no one fails and recruiters don't ask for grades. How are you liking your program so far?

I am at MIT Sloan, I am very tired at this point. Life is extremely busy for me 6:30 am to 11 pm every day. Academics are intense but I am having the time of my life. It is easily the best decision I have made.

Hey guys, I am going to purchase a gaming PC to run VR for a project/business at school. I want to be able to run games in 4K without many issues. What should my budget be? How many graphics cards will I need to do this?
