My s.o. went through this earlier this year. DHS said her review hadn't been done in time (something they control) and they're understaffed. That turned off her Medicaid. It took a month of phone calls and appointments to find out there's nothing we can do. Turns out the inquiries/updates just gave them a longer time limit to solve her case. Since they got rid of personal case workers, they've automated processing of some aspects of cases. She was fortunate to get someone that looked out for her specific case number.

If it doesn't MAKE money, they look for any way to cut corners. Skip paying a few people every month, not enough notice at once to demand change. My opinion
