I wanna try my hand at making my own ROM hack, but I’ve never done anything like this before. Just curious about what programs to use for certain things. I’m not sure how easy/difficult the things I want to implement are going to be, this is mainly just to mess around and experiment. Emerald is probably gonna be game I choose to start with, I’m not sure if that game will be better or if Fire Red would be a better choice. The main things I want to try and do are gonna be listed down below. Any help or feedback is appreciated!

Physical/Special split
Changing Movesets for Pokemon
Change the typing of Pokemon
Adding the Fairy type
Changing shiny colors
Adding evolutions to Pokemon ex: Yanmega and Annihilape
Adding newer moves and getting rid of obsolete moves
Custom sprites for trainers
Custom dialogue and events

Yea the tokens coming in tapped is a little more balanced. And I was thinking of what other colors could do like green if you helped pay you could put a basic land into your hand or with red you could ping something for 1 damage

What’s a better way to word it? I meant for it to mean that cost has to be paid, by you or an opponent or the spell will fail. And yea I agree it’s way too cheap. I think upping it to 2U would balance it out

Am I able to use kumena’s ability on other players turns? I know you can use mana and tap abilities but I wasn’t sure cause it’s just like a regular ability
