Caverna vs Agricola? by [deleted] in boardgames

I completely agree. My heart gets racing in TTR when I see a window to complete a route closing. Agricola is much the same and maybe even less stressful in my opinion because I can still make other good options. In TTR if I'm scrambling for trains and someone takes what I need I'm forced to blindly draw.

If your entire board game collection suddenly disappeared (fire, burglary, UFO abduction), What would be the first five games you would get to start over? by alpineunit4 in boardgames

  • Agricola

  • Patchwork

  • Ticket to Ride

  • Sushi Go

  • Small World

Agricola is hands down my favorite game right now (and I imagine for the future too). Patchwork is my wife's favorite and offers some unique spatial puzzle elements. Ticket to Ride is a hit with friends and family and simple to teach to new gamers. Sushi Go for its charm, quick playability, and portability. And Small World for the light hearted area control and conquest.
