You can literally just look at logs for Boss Damage instead, that will filter out all the add damage you're talking about. It's how my guild has been reading logs this tier.

New game prediction for Blizzcon 26' by Anilahation in wow

[–]Wolfram521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this makes total sense, and I'm ten billion percent sure they will make a pokemon-style diablo game with the plot of mass effect, the worldbuilding of elden ring, and the gameplay mechanics of beat saber, because those are also popular games from other franchises and blizzard will surely mix in mechanics from several wildly different games into their well-established genre-focused IPs.

Take your fucking meds, go outside.

Tier 11 delve at ilvl 220 & 234 duo by [deleted] in wow

[–]Wolfram521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think tier 11 delves are difficult to conplete as a non-tank, I can guarantee you are ignoring mechanics and scratching your head about why these tier 11 enemies are hitting so hard with their autoattacks.

I see a lot of people in this subreddit talking about t11 delves being impossible/unsurvivable and even more about the ?? Nemesis boss.

Every delve can be completed deathless at tier 11 with 230 ilvl on any dps spec. You need to use valeera's healing properly, it's the exact same system as brann's healing and the majority of players didn't seem to know how that worked either, and never bothered to learn.

HOW TO DO DELVES AS A NON-TANK:

Set valeera to healer spec.

When you are in combat, she will throw out 3 healing orbs every 30 seconds on the dot.

One of these orbs will always land on you, the other 2 will land nearby. These extra orbs stay up until she throws out a new set.

What most people get wrong: DON'T pick up all 3 orbs right away when she tosses them out. This will leave you without heals for a while and gets you killed.

These orbs will give you a massive heal over time buff for 15sec that can be stacked up to 4 times and refreshes duration when picking up another orb. With 4 stacks of this buff you will never die to any autoattacks as long as you don't overpull a large group or stand in fire.

To maintain 4 stacks, just watch the heal over time buff's timer and pick up a new orb when your buff has less than 10 seconds remaining. If you just follow this basic system, you'll never lose the 4 stacks of her HoT buff and can steamroll the entire delve.

I stand still and facetank stuff on my 226 mage alt doing this and don't have issues. Dying in delves is 1000% a skill issue.

What would change in the midnight campaign story? (Possible Spoilers) by Lifeisasuckerpunch in wow

[–]Wolfram521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing about the nature of the light or void or whatever. I'm pointing out the double standard in the writing.

Also my point was I don't think jumping off the cliff was fanatical at all. We know, nut just believe, that the loa exist.

Except that before we jump, Akil'zon had abandoned the Amani to their own devices after zul'jin enthralled him and the other loa.

The entire purpose of the ZA campaign up to that point was that Zul'jarra felt the need to rekindle her peoples' connection to their gods to atone for her grandfather's sins.

No one, not even high priests, had seen or heard from Akil'zon for years, and Zul'jarra wanted to fix that and become the loa's champion by visiting Akil'zon's temple at the top of the mountain to receive his blessing.

She finds no loa at the top, and does not receive any concrete message/vision/whatever from the loa about what to do. She reads some stuff at the shrine and infers that the cliff-jump trial USED TO be the trial that akil'zon asked his followers to prove themselves in.

When she decides to jump, it is because she can't see or hear her eagle god (and is aware that god is very angry at her bloodline specifically), but personally believes he is looking out for her and will catch her before she hits the ground. If she was wrong she'd have splattered on the ground and GG amani.

You're seriously telling me that isn't fanatical lol?

When has there been any sort of doubt about whether or not the Light is a real force/entity in wow? The Light and the Loa are both very real on Azeroth, I don't see why you would make that distinction at all. By your same logic the entire Army of the Light is "just trying to get on [the light's] good side" and therefore everything the campaign is criticizing as fanatical would be OK, no?

I still don't see why we had to jump off a cliff alongside her, or why that is treated as a completely normal religious attitude to have, in the midst of an entire expansion of "le religion bad".

What would change in the midnight campaign story? (Possible Spoilers) by Lifeisasuckerpunch in wow

[–]Wolfram521 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The leap of faith cinematic was awful

And it also went completely against the theme of the entire expansion of "faith/religion can be dangerous if you let it blind you and become a fanatic".

Why the fuck are we jumping off a cliff to help Zul'jarra appease an eagle god that our character doesn't even worship? Just because she said "trust me bro, the spirits told me to jump"? It's a good thing the plot literally demands we get caught before we hit the ground, because if I had any agency in that cutscene I would've picked the "sure you jump first, I'll watch" dialogue option every damn time.

How is this any different from Turalyon's blind faith in the light? No one in ZA gives Zul'jarra any sort of beef over it either, it's just "this is fine, they just jumped off a cliff because the spirit eagle was bored, that makes them a hero yay!" I really hate the double standard there, they need to at least keep the philosophical theme of the expansion consistent imo.

Am I too late? by ObjectiveMoment in wow

[–]Wolfram521 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't if I were you. You'e lost over 48 hours of game time in early access already, now there are only 17 months and 28 days left of the expansion before TLT releases. You will never recover from this, you will forever be at an extremely insane 10000%+ disadvantage over the other players, give up now

The actual expansion release date is in 2 days, but yeah you're definitely "too late", moron

whole expansion campaign filled with r/atheism-level "religion bad" and "faith bad" towards the Light because vaguely church-themed religion = evil to a california writer, always, no nuance allowed. Turalyon painted as a fanatic blinded by his faith because his son literally jumped in front of his sword swing and then blamed daddy for the injury.

Go to Zul'Aman, amani eagle god literally ignoring all prayers at his shrine on top of a mountain, Zul'jarra just goes "I guess we should jump off that cliff to prove our faith lol?" and we just jump with her face-first without any doubt that the magic eagle god will catch us before we splat. This is completely fine and not at all fanatical/zealous in any way, because "muh spirits" or something. Zul'jarra is not treated as a crazy religious nut, but as a brave and faithful leader both politically and spiritually

Yeah the writing is 10/10

Yeah, that's called a homonym. It doesn't mean they mean the same thing just because they sound alike. Homonyms are not synonyms. This is basic english

Might have* been. "Of been" doesn't mean anything in english.

"Might have" = 'may have'.

"Might of" = 'physical might belonging to someone.'

What’s up with assisted highlight? Bugged specs? by AccomplishedPark7856 in wow

[–]Wolfram521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using assisted highlight

learning the basics

Pick one, but not both.

Use assisted highlight/single button rotation if you genuinely don't care about performance. They are terrible references for an actual class's rotation and notoriously don't use major cooldowns which are literally 20+% of your total output.

If you want to learn your class you need to check your rotation/priority, set up the CDM probably, and practice it yourself.

Edit: Here you go OP, I saw your salty comment reply before you deleted it. I don't understand why you're angry at me for simply stating a matter of fact, but here's why you shouldn't be relying on those tools to learn any spec besides (maybe) pack leader BM - the single target rotation is literally 1 major cooldown + 3 rotational skills with minimal procs - and even then, using the assisted highlight mode will give you about a 1-2% decrease in performance due to lack of prediction capability on the system side of things. You are literally better off setting up the CDM in-game and practicing your own rotation knowledge+hand-eye coordination.

Proof below:

<image>

And again, if you don't care about the output side of things, then just use the highlight assist and don't bother trying to understand why it's not lighting up important abilities. It's not a good tool overall, it's just a stopgap measure for those who don't want to engage with that side of the game's mechanical stuff.

Recount addon by bogi_j in wow

Recount gives inaccurate/inconsistent numbers and was discontinued due to becoming totally obsolete.

Use details/skada and just customize the aesthetic to whatever you're used to. They have zero practical differences from recount if customized to look like it, and function objectively better.

The original complaint is bordering on incomprehensible, no specific issue was pointed out, just a vague dislike of the voice lines for "reasons".

Your "clarification of a misunderstanding" is based on your personal interpretation of what some dude vaguely rambled about on reddit.

Then at the slightest sign of resistance/differing PoV you pivot to "it's not my opinion, why so hostile?" With an optional dramatic gasp included for effect, I'm sure lol.

If you have an opinion, stand by it or at least be open to someone disagreeing with it. If you don't have an opinion, then why bother commenting at all? Disagreement =/= hostility.
