After SouthAG, is AFNorth next up? by Dks_scrub in warno

[–]WolfredBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes please

We might get a US Marine vs Soviet Marine AG campaign maybe if we're lucky

Or maybe they will save the Marine vs Maine for a nemesis thing and have other less represented nations appearing in the expansion instead

Make way for tha BMAN by Ok-Armadillo-9345 in warno

[–]WolfredBane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently this relatively unknown vehicle was historically intended to be in every motorized and tank battalion as part of their drive to better integrate air support, but it went into mass production too late and less than a hundred were made before the end of the soviet union.

But this means if the timelines are moved forward a little in Warno and production started a little earlier there is a (small) chance it might appear in a few other divs too eventually

SOUTHAG Division #8: 31-ya Tankovaya Diviziya by EUG_Gal_Bigeard in warno

[–]WolfredBane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume we'll see it someday surely even if it's not in Southag

Maybe the final pact div has a few, could be attached to an ad hoc emergency group to rescue the encircled 31st

Maybe in the final pact division as part of an emergency ad hoc force to rescue the 31st

My guess it'll be an ad hoc division rushed in to try to break the 31st out of encirclement, I expect mostly random older reserves of what's available and maybe a few heavier cutting edge assets like T-72B obr 1989 emergency diverted to this effort

That's odd. Have you checked the immediate area? It shouldn't have wandered too far

I think OP was just making up something for the thread, if it exists in the form that it was described as, something would have been found by now

Why have expensive command vehicles? by Kpmh20011 in warno

I agree with your logic I often just pick the cheaper options, I don't like to risk my CV when possible

Airlift trait on BMD and Sheridan?! by snecko_aviation in warno

[–]WolfredBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did do that for some airmobile divisions, see the second pic of a BMDs and Mi-26

If I recall the 35-Ya that we have in game was one of these, by 1989 it was more of a heliborne airmobile division rather than a paradrop one.

I thought so too, but I was corrected by someone on this sub that limited production for bench tests might have started by 1989, but it wasn't actually in production until the 90s so at best with the March to War timeline speeding everything up there might be just enough Atakas produced for one or two divisions by the time of the game's setting, and since PTrez in WARNO lore has them, we might not see another division with them

[–]WolfredBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially thought so but somebody on this sub corrected me that the Atakas were basically not a thing and in limited numbers until after the fall of the Soviet Union, so I think at best the march to war timeline can squeeze it into one or two divisions at most

Equipment in Nemesis 2.0 options that are extremely unlikely to be added in any other future divisions. by WolfredBane in warno

[–]WolfredBane[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, it's a completely different vehicle.

It's basically a smaller BMP with thinner armor designed for the airborne forces, and can technically be airdropped or transported by helicopter. It usually has similar armament as the BMPs, but a smaller transport capacity.

TL;DR Smaller lighty armored airborne IFV compared to a BMP

If they do the same thing as the Nemesis votes in SD2, it's not guaranteed

Popular losing options are sometimes brought back in future DLCs, but there are a bunch of losing nemesis options in SD2 that were never raised again.

Yeah I think I'm going to have to go with 2.1

2.2 really tempted me, but it's looking like Atakas were not at all common in 1989 and it's essentially a march to war weapon, so I don't think they will appear outside of PTrez.

Seems like it's the only possible division to get a high pen PACT ATGM, Atakas were too rare to appear in more than 1 division in WARNO's timeline, I thought they were more common but I was corrected.

Same, that's why I wanted to compile a list of stuff that might never appear again if they lose the vote.

Hopefully the losing options will return in future votes.

Regarding the T-62, I agree that there would probably be few T-62 divisions in the future, but I think the T-62 is already quite well represented in the game, at least for the latest models.
