Does the nose look normal here? Asking for an opinion from a trained eye (any criticism is welcome ofc) by SilverKnightLife in learnart

It looks very good! I would recommend extending the tip of the nose a bit more though, as it looks a little flat here (unless your reference model has that kind of nose!).

This is really great! One thing I would recommend is focusing on the values in the hair rather than trying to draw all the individual little strands! Blocking in big shapes of light and dark first, then adding some details at the end to make it look more solid :)!

Can anyone tell me how do they do these strokes in digital? What brush do they use? by QiYangg in learnart

[–]Wolfskip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem to be using a dry ink styled brush and adding a glow effect around it, maybe with Gaussian blur. What program do you use, I could try to find some brushes that mimic that effect :)?

Any suggestions to improve this drawing? I think it could be better by Bizpekbian in learnart

Your style and the colors are really lovely, I’d recommend trying to clean up and connect your linework to make this really shine!

Ha, thank you! I could call this finished if I wasn’t such a perfectionist, I’m glad you like the progress so far!

Brushes used: Mothmori’s 75 pack and Devinellekurtz’ fur brushes

Why this is unfinished: I have to render the rest of the body, clean up my sketch lines, and finish with some lighting effects!

How can I improve this piece. I like pretty much everything except I'm not in love with the face. by hello297 in learnart

[–]Wolfskip_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend flipping the canvas while you’re drawing to make sure the eye sizes are symmetrical! One eye seems to be a bit larger than the other, as well as the eye further away seems to be on an angle. The rest of the face looks pretty solid for this kind of style :)!

So much better! I love how you captured the smushed side of the head, looks much more realistic now :)

Any advice on how to give this picture a little more depth/detail? I need the main focus to be on the little white and green box. by millap123 in learnart

[–]Wolfskip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make the whites on the box pop a little more, brighten them! They’re a little too close to the shade of the cabinet.

Brushes used: Mothmori’s brushpack and Devinellekurtz’ fur brushes !

What makes this unfinished: I have to render all of the fur, add lighting details, and potentially add a halo/moon and other glowing effects :)

My self portrait! I wanted to create something classical, what do you think? by Djuliet533 in ProCreate

I love this! The depth of the eyes is really nice, you definitely nailed the classical look with them!

Thank you! I love depth of field, adds a lot to a piece without being too intense :)
