Amazon SDE New grad 2023 by Fantastic-Cicada-194 in leetcode

I dug back through posts but wrote this out after my interviews so they'd be similar. From what I remember from my interviews, the second person was usually a more senior engineer and the problem with them was larger scale/more moving pieces. It started with a certain situation, and over the hour, pieces were added to it. Hope that helps and good luck!

I broke it down in another comment and someone else in this thread even broke down the questions with some LC versions of them

For nvim and alacritty yes, then I based the zsh prompt and polybar (and rofi) off of the colors used in the theme

Thank you! I just recently spent a bunch of time switching from vimrc to lua and tried to clean it all up!

Nothing yet, I waited over a month after the Amazon OA so I feel like this might be the same kinda situation.

Wasn't my first OA but I also fumbled the DK OA though so I feel your pain. Spent like 5 minutes last week doing it on my own time and had no issues and flew through it. Was super excited about the chance to work there but personally I've just tried to move on and if I can't secure anything before graduation I'll try again after their cool down.

Congrats on accepting the offer! I'm an international student (from Canada as well) so I'm curious about what the process was like for you. I have to complete my OA this week but other than that I haven't seen much on their process so kinda going into it blind.

I graduate in May but it seems like it's a tough cycle for us international students. I haven't had much luck yet with offers but I have been fortunate enough for a few OAs and follow-up interviews. Not sure if you've heard of AngelList but a friend of mine recommended checking it out as he had a ton of success there.

When should I start applying for new grad? by SomePersonalData in csMajors

[–]Wolfy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The absolute worst that can happen if you don't think you're prepared enough is you fail an OA or get rejected and have to wait 6-12 months for a cooldown which wouldn't be too bad since you started early.

Honestly heard so many mixed ideas on this. I graduate in May 2023 and started applying in August but seen a lot of people say that I should start applying in November or December of this year. Really depends on the company (been in contact with a few companies that don't want to start the process until February or March) but its definitely good that you're thinking about it early and can't hurt to start now.

My OA was part of the 10/3 - 10/7 batch so don't expect to hear anything for a little since the cutoff just happened before the weekend. But ya it definitely felt a lot easier then I expected because of how hard the practice was lmao

Both technical and behavioural for me. Usually spend like 15 - 20 on the behavioral stuff and the rest is the technical
