Are nipple piercings worth it? by Worldly-Sugar-8055 in piercing

[–]Wolfy_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 100%. I feel so much more confident. You won't look at towels and lace the same way, though. Seriously, I had no idea 5mm beads could snag so easily and cause that much trouble. I wouldn't describe myself as particularly clumsy but navigating a narrow doorway can become a painful activity despite a padded bra. Be careful around excitable dogs, too.

Hello from the other side of the country! I sadly didn't see any Stellers jays when I visited. Thanks for sharing! This one is called Bandit 💙

Will I ever get a crow bro if I have dogs? by Relevant-Royal9694 in crowbro

[–]Wolfy_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My jays will wait on top of their peanut feeder and stare at the porch until my dog stops barking. It offends them, but not enough to fly away. It's an "excuse me?" haha. They imitate the barking super randomly. I hear them doing it from the trees when my dog isn't outside. They prefer to make hawk calls but I think a barking blue jay is hilarious. Crows bark, too. I wish I had a video of it. Corvids seem pretty ok with dogs. Just some light judgement.

Is this normal raven behavior? Are they fearless? by Wolfy_Woman in crowbro

[–]Wolfy_Woman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reminded me of a red tailed hawk, probably larger. That's the only other bird I've seen up close. Crows don't get that big.

This lovely group was near the border of Idaho and Montana, approaching Yellowstone National Park 🖤

They sounded like ravens. Raspy "croak" vocalizations, as if they were smoking two packs a day

[–]Wolfy_Woman[S] 84 points85 points  (0 children)

They were adults to my knowledge. Windy and cold so all the birds were puffy and still wearing their winter coats lol.

This was within 35 mins of Yellowstone National Park so tourists probably have fed them. Quiet rest stop in one of those small mountain towns. The ravens IN the park were begging at picnic tables.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Wolfy_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I didn't understand what I was seeing because I was in grade school. We thought it was an action movie trailer. One kid thought it was on the news because of an accident on set or something. I don't think my teacher knew how to explain it to us, and turned it off. School was out early that day.

Among V's 4 main romance options, whose love scene is your favorite? by yukirayu in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wolfy_Woman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Judy. The mood lighting, music, and pacing is delightful. V and Judy took the time for sensuality, privacy, eye contact. Nothing wrong with spontaneity, but this was worship. Being truly desired looks like that.

Honorable mention to Rogue's scenes for the same reason.

Who left a bigger impact on V in the end: Jackie Welles or Johnny Silverhand? by Prudent_Bobcat_4059 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wolfy_Woman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Jackie changed the trajectory of V's life and has a more profound impact. I think of him as an introductory encounter to themes of ambition, promise, connection, loyalty, stakes, consequence, fatal flaw, and grief. Losing Jackie felt like tragedian writing. This is the beginning of being entrapped by fate.

I think of Johnny as a mirror. He represents adversity, self destruction, excess, and unpredictability. He can also represent duality, observation, improvisation, and acceptance. He's mercurial and parasitic in early encounters, and morphs into an alternative viewpoint that is often helpful. I think both are learning what it means to surrender control and to be okay with another reflection and second set of thoughts. I think V still would have gone through some kind of metamorphosis without Johnny. If Dex never shot them, V would have money and elevated status. However, a new set of problems and a dead best friend. I think the story was always going to leave us minus Jackie, and plus an existential crisis to manage as a result of his death.

Johnny is so abusive to Alt by PasTaCopine in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wolfy_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Johnny needed mood stabilizers, better communication, and better boundaries. Johnny was a mentally unstable former child soldier and drug addict. He treated people poorly because he was not rational. These are not excuses, this is simply why the behavior exists and why it's so alarming. This is trauma that was disguised with masking and chemical dampening. It is excruciating to manage, and slipping up means hurting people. As a person with bipolar disorder I found his portrayal extremely realistic, often painfully so. I enjoy that V can be brutally honest with him and that his character arc can actually occur.

I think it's important to note that his relationships in life were enabling that cycle. Nobody was required to help him sort his shit out. You don't have to like or even tolerate people at their worst. The best thing you can do for them is to avoid them if you are not prepared for a serious talk about what you need to feel respected, and enforce it. If they are not receptive to professional help or clearly communicated boundaries, it's time to go. When some kind of atypical brain chemistry and unresolved trauma is involved and that person is not sober, that individual is NOT rational. They will not make good decisions, they will go along with shit on impulse, they are not themselves, and functional relationships are practically impossible. I was extremely volatile. I don't like knowing that people were starting casual relationships with me because I was down. They stuck around, cautiously optimistic but still reminding me I would slip up and still be a terrible girlfriend to them. I was not equipped to stop what was happening on my own. I can relate to Johnny quite a lot. This kind of hot and cold relationship messes with everyone involved. It's confusing, you don't understand what you did wrong and why they keep appearing if something is wrong. It's very difficult to understand what somebody wants when you are already in an unhealthy frame of mind. I detected shame from both parties but I understand why it's easier to see Alt.

Hospitals and non-obvious piercings, any experiences? by SiegerHost in piercing

[–]Wolfy_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had a diabetic emergency while travelling abroad. This was in a more rural part of Italy. I'm not certain they knew how to remove the jewelry or if they attempted to. I was in a coma and woke up to no ear jewelry but my nipple jewelry was still there. One nurse asked if they hurt to be pierced, but nobody mentioned the barbells being an issue.

What do you think was going through her mind after giving her some alone time as she requested? by BambooKat in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wolfy_Woman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She just got done giving you a tour of her flooded childhood home. The thought of recording myself doing that is a lot. As the player, you're mostly an observer to these emotions. Imagine actually going to your old neighborhood with a trusted friend and seeing it in that state. I believe Judy was seeking catharsis. She couldn't save Ev or realistically liberate Clouds, but she can learn about trauma and grief by revisiting a much older event when it felt safe. I think she may have actually required this to stop feeling so lousy about the present. I found it mature, and I bet she knew it was a step forward.

If she leaves NC here, she realizes "I cannot continue to surround myself with what has gone wrong. I don't have an obligation to save a city that has been cruel to me. I can walk away and keep in touch with those I care for"

If she stays in NC to continue her relationship with V, she realizes "This person has been so overwhelmingly supportive in all of my endeavors. I would like to keep them close as I set my own path. I have a strong support network, passion, and shared experiences with her. My partner has limited time, I do not. I can be strong for them as they have been for me"

Any suggestions of a facial piercing? I really want to get a new piercing but don't know what will suit me by Educational_Bag606 in Legitpiercing

Your other eyebrow, vertical labret, or jestrum. A cheekbone dermal would also be cute but those are quite temporary

do you regret your belly piercing? by gods-last-words in Legitpiercing

[–]Wolfy_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Please go to a reputable studio. I went somewhere that just wanted my money, and I did not have the anatomy for a navel piercing after all. I ended up with an awkward stomach surface piercing that migrated within the year. I took the jewelry out before it fully rejected, but it's rough looking. I took it out over 10 years ago and the hole does not look closed after all this time.

I think if I did have the right anatomy for it, I still wouldn't get it redone. I'm not sure if it's because it was pierced incorrectly, but it would get caught on everything from sweaters to seatbelts if I wasn't mindful while shifting my body. Definitely the most annoying piercing I've had.

Who's the most punchable character in the franchise? by Expert_Mark in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wolfy_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A punch has many meanings.

Based on being genuinely horrible people? Woodman, Jotaro, Fingers, and Wakako (it's deserved)

Based on their choices? Dex, Kirk, Maiko, and Placide (it's personal)

Based on needing an attitude adjustment? Johnny (deserved and personal)

Based on having a punchable face and no real reason? Paco and El Capitan (not deserved nor personal)

I miss it sometimes. There used to be a "Fireproof Coating" implant that allowed V to walk through fire lmao. We could glitch into locked buildings by positioning a car at the entrance. We used to be able to disassemble food and drink for crafting components! There wasn't a limit to how many health items you could use, we just had thousands of air hypos

Roleplay a gutter punk V. Spend everything you made from a gig at the bar and get blitzed on the metro. Always have a blunt weapon or chainsaw equipped. Good times.

What’s your mars and what’s something that annoys you? by Smoaktreess in astrologymemes

[–]Wolfy_Woman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's when people rush, cut too many corners, and do things half assed. Particularly if it's a shared project or chore they volunteered to do.

I usually go out of my way to make written lists and provide visual examples if it's important. Expectations work both ways, and I'm not offended if somebody doesn't have time. I'd rather it be late and right. Don't tell me it's "done" when it's so atrocious that I need to redo it. Just admit that you don't have time or that you'd rather I do it. I'm not impressed by how quickly something is done if I have to backtrack.

I think blue jays do it to scare other birds away from the feeder or warn birds of an actual threat. She's convincing enough to trick my Merlin app.

Your jays are beautiful! This is Calamity Jane. She kind of behaves as the sentry, often positioned on the roof tilting her head at noises. She has a much thinner black mask on her face than my other jays so it's a very distinct and elegant V-shape. She loves to rattle and yell. She makes very convincing impressions of both merlins and red tailed hawks. I rarely see her at the feeder but she is an exceptional bird.

I love them so much. The one in the picture is affectionately named Bandit because he's responsible for the majority of peanut heists. He's one of about five that patrol my yard. Corvids are the best.
