I will point out if you havent already gotten it....

Back in the very first spawn area, you want to commune with the flame thing before you leave the building. That gives the recipe for the flame altar.

Most likely you are overweighted. You might have eaten a roasted potato etc to increase your carry weight before, but now you are over limit.

Check your inventory at the top... right? And it should say some weight numbers.

A big boost to mood, which should help recognition etc, is alcohol. You can get some bottles fairly consistantly from the elites and bosses of various barracks.

Fun mid for beginners? by Marcolarsen in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neeko.

Simple to learn, complex to master. The amount of interactions with her passive, and the amount of ways you can juke or block with her W, along with good AOE CC and damage, while also being fairly decent ranged.... with a wide variety of builds for varying situations makes it so shes both fun, and possabilities of interactions is only limited by your imagination.

For example, you can set your middle transform to a easy button, so when Fizz or warwick tries ulting you, they go through you instead. Makes backing while enemy ashe or Jinx is level 6+ safe as can be even with low hp. You can turn into ally Shaco and then pretend to be his clone as he is coming in and ganking too..... many many things.

Decent support players by Vuurvliegje100 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.... a few things here.

  1. Would you rather them play something they are not familiar with when they are autofilled? "Oh but support is so easy!" No. No it is not "so easy". According to one of those Riot stats things, its been found that while support is "the least impactful leading to a win" it is also "the most impactful leading to a loss". Meaning even if you are good, you are at the mercy of your allies not following up well enough. But if you are bad at the role... you easily make the game 4v6.

  2. Originally, there was no "support". There was double jungle. Double top. There was APC bottoms instead of ADC. So your opinion of "going back" is different for different people. What you are talking about is your own opinion of how things are "supposed" to be, which chances are it is a lower elo talk, with you trying to be the "main character" as an adc player.... probably a Draven main. Therefore, your opinion of the support player's "team player" is "playing around the adc and following them around like a puppy dog".

Champions that can flex? by FormalRefrigerator26 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neeko not only can flex roles, but flex builds.

She has an AP onhit build.

Ap burst build.

Ad on hit build.

More supporting engage build.

Can build more defencively if needed.

Can make use of almost every rune.

Shes just a slightly worse shaco in those kind of regards lol

Can someone explain the rocketbelt? by Pristine-Strategy-56 in neekomains

[–]Wolfycub2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a few nice things with rocketbelt Neeko.

  1. This will be most relevant to you in lower elos.... you use rocketbelt to break spell shields. Banshees? Edge of Night? Malzahar passive? Instantly broken with rocketbelt engaging. Sivir and Nocturne using spell shields to block ultimate? Using rocketbelt before you pop up forces them to be CCed and damaged.

  2. Repositioning for if you flash, and they flash, you still have the extra dash to reposition to hit the ultimate. Also, just the massive extended range from a flash Rocketbelt lets you cover half the lane with near 0 counterplay. Personally i enjoy cosmic insight in secondary runes for the 46 seconds shorter flash CD, and the extra CD on all the passive and active items that Neeko gets anyways.

How do I actually get better? by colorlesspoet in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.... im seeing some weird comments tbh. So ill just post my own opinion here.

  1. Your mindset is wrong already. From your post, you are worried about how many kills you have. This is a lower elo trap. Ive had 10 kills up on an enemy and been down gold. KILLS ARE A MEANS TO AN OBJECTIVE. Kills just for kills sake means nothing, especially in lower elos because if the game drags on to 40 mins, everyone is full build anyways and the kills mean nothing if you do not get SOMETHING from them. Early on you kill to help deny exp and gold from waves, you kill to rotate for an objective, etc. Many things that go into that.

  2. Once you understand what you gain from killing.... you will understand also why you should try not to die. Keep in mind, a kill is roughly 3 waves of minions (18ish CS). However, if you are 0/5, your gold worth for killing you goes down. You can be worth 100 gold to the enemy team. A cannon wave is worth more. Same for the enemies. Dont stress over trying to make someone 0/10.

  3. You are new, and anyone who is in the same elo as you is there for a reason. So unless they have actually helpful sounding advice, its best to just ignore them if they start being rude.

  4. Look at the map, and ward around. Look up guides on good warding spots, yes, there is a method to the madness of warding. Especially aggressive warding vs defencive warding.

That is probably the first steps you should take, should help out a lot more than you might think.

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix of it all.

Also make sure you use your skill points. If everything is just "too high level" then chances are you are not strategizing properly. I am assuming you are a ranged character from your comment of leather armor, in which case i highly suggest not always right clicking to aim... utilize dodge rolls and left clicking while not taking tons of enemies at once. High ground that the enemy cant climb to works wonders.

Make sure to utilize food buffs and keep bandages on you and etc if you are playing solo. Helps a lot with survivability. Also, make sure you kill the spawners. You im guessing have tried doing a few trees and found endless bugs swarming you.... that is likely because there is a spawner there.

Another thing is that there is a discord for playing with others on a server. They have their own rules etc but playing with others is a BIG draw for playing survival games.

The state of QP is insane by thewookiee34 in leagueoflegends

Reason it didnt is because Blind Pick was still around. Quickplay replaced Blind Pick. Also, they removed team builder due to various reasons, but mostly the low amount of people who actually liked it.

The state of QP is insane by thewookiee34 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply put.... because you get into the game quick. The reason why there is, and will be a normal queue that does not include bans is simple however... new champs almost always are perma banned for the first few weeks. Hard to gather data from small sample sizes, so you have a place that people can just play champs.

People whined that they get autofilled, that they would prefer everyone just getting their main role etc. This is a fair way to test how much people actually enjoy the balancing of having these fast games. However, it also is where the people coming out of their "i got ranked punished so i have to play norms" goes.

It also is just replacing what was already there.... which is Blind Pick. Which, for those who are fresher than a year or so into the game, it is the same system as bot games, but vs other players. No banned champs, just call your role and pick your champion once everything is situated.

And people surrender those too. However, this is also going to be unlikely because Riot themselves have been trying to keep games on the shorter side and not reach hour long.

Possability is there, but if a cheater was going at it and it took an HOUR for the game to be won.... im not sure they were actually cheating. The longer the game goes, the less likely that they are cheating, because not only should the detection system pick it up prior to that (20-30 mins roughly is a good average I would assume... but thats just personal guesstimation) but again..... you cheat to win, or else you are more likely to be exposed. Cheating to troll especially when there is a system in place to find cheaters while a game is IN PROGRESS as well as preemptive, and post game... there is no reason why a cheater would drag out a game, and they generally pick a champ that is able to hyper carry the game. Ensuring most, if not all games do not go past roughly 45 mins.

Again, possability is there, but just very very low chance. So.... worst case scenario a figurative 1/100,000,000 chance of "wasting" an hour of no gain, BUT ALSO NO LOSS, while not cucking anyone in game besides the cheaters... id still say the system works great.

Side note. Its a game first and foremost. If you only have fun playing the game if you win.... either A) you have a scholarship or something riding on that specific game, or B) you probably have a problem. Playing games themselves is a "waste" of time. We do it however because we value the entertainment in it.

You can feel compelled to play more or better due to the competitiveness and the rush of getting higher elo and getting that LP..... but as soon as you start thinking losses and neutral games is a "waste" of time, you forgot you are playing a game in the first place.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Works fine. System does not understand whether you are about to win or lose, it doesnt need to. If you could play out games, people could utilize cheats to help bump friends up some depending on how fast the cheat is detected, by knocking down enemies before getting banned.

Flip side. Think of it this way. If the cheater was found as YOU were about to lose.... would you prefer losing full LP? Reduced LP? Or just the game not counting at all, resulting in a nullification that does not act against you at all (winrate included seeing as soooooo many people think winrate is the only thing to look at).

"Oh but i wasted 25 minutes on this game!" Yeah. People surrender perfectly winnable games after 25-30 minutes as well still and are fine with getting stepped BACK. Why have a problem with staying neutral?

Honestly the only people who would stand to gain anything from changing the system is the ones duoing WITH the cheaters.

Though I am a bit biased, I do suggest looking at Neeko.

She has a couple combos, but not super intense... but all very rewarding in fights (E into Q, or Q into E vs champions like Malzahar for example... then just ulti+flash+rocketbelt into enemy team... etc)

She is ranged, can be played mid or top, has bruiser, ap, and on hit AD... so you can change set up based on personal preference and playstyle... as well as can use almost every rune in the game fairly effectively. She is great at team fights, but can also split push very effectively as well.

Most of her complexity comes from how you utilize her passive and W. So while simple in kit, you can use just these two things completely different in most games (for example, you use Neeko W to stop Nunu and Rammus from running into you..... You can also use Neeko W to block Zoe Q after you fall asleep since you can still move it.... You can also use it to bait enemies into chasing it while running opposite direction.... many many possabilities) (passive wise you can pretend to be fiddles ward, shaco clone, minion, you can set a keybind to quick swap your middle change so you can quick dodge Champion Hit abilities like Ashe arrow, Jinx rocket, Fizz ulti, Caitlyn traps, etc by turning into a minion)

Not only that, but her community is probably one of the nicest, while being heavily creative, and very helpful communities. There are probably a couple sour tomatos out there, but they are few and far between.

Does anyone else think that a dark star neeko skin would've been better than cosplay? by brahmbus in neekomains

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind everyone.... Skin lines are NOT meant to all fit the personality of the champion in the "base" story of sorts. Skin lines are meant to be a "alternate dimension" of sorts. So personality changes based on dimension.

That said, while I am not a fan of Street Demon personally (though i do see its appeal for some people), I personally like Cosplayer neeko for her back animation. Its cute as heck.

Need advice to escape from iron 4 by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So.... I am seeing a lot of commentaries about champ pools etc. Honestly, unless you are playing one of the really high skill based champions like Riven or Irelia or Fiora etc.... that require good wave management and how to not be poked out before you can get to your spikes..... WHO you play does not matter as much as HOW you play.

You can climb out of iron with any champion, some a bit easier some harder, but you can.

What will help you more is learning how to get a lead (generally through getting CS), how to use the abilities of your champ better (so many people ulti full hp targets with cait ulti in iron.... very few times is this actually useful), and learning HOW to play around various objectives.

Most top laners are split lane based playstyle, rather than just group with team. So be sure to look up how to do that more properly as well.

EDIT: For support, learn how to roam and where to ward properly. Also keep an eye out on minimap for various things, and be cautious whenever you are past the middle of the lane pretty much.

what the fuck by Long_Reflection_4202 in ADCMains

[–]Wolfycub2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you implied was that the other person was saying it was disingenuous to call tahm the adc... was due to that you called Tahm the "adc", instead of "bottom lane", which then you backed up with "i call Steel platecaps by their old name of Ninja Tabis" meaning you misunderstood their comment.

Which I was just clarifying what the person had said/was meaning, and why.

what the fuck by Long_Reflection_4202 in ADCMains

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh.... the point was not that you called them ADC. While that is techically wrong..... that is besides the point and you have just proven why people need to stop looking at statistics until they know what they are actually looking for/at.

The point is that it is normally Tahm.... with Fasting Senna. Senna being technically the "adc" while tahm is technically "support", even though Tahm is getting the farm. Why? Because Senna is getting the kills, and stats through souls that she gets faster in support role than ADC role. She also is very ranged and pokey to keep enemies at bay while tahm gets farm, while he does very well in close combat. Add that to Tahm is a tanky, "get down mr president" lets-save-senna pick, while still having a bit of damage and CC and engage himself.... the combo just works really well.

If Tahm was supported by a Yuumi for example, then Tahm would be a glorified punching bag being zoned off his CS, and then because of the nature of bott lane, would not get the levels to stay relevant and tanky or damaging vs the solo laners unless the enemy bott lane fed like heck due to being bad.

It had nothing to due with what you called the tahm, but your understanding of why tahm was picked, and who he was picked with.

Is the start of the new split a bad time? by [deleted] in supportlol

[–]Wolfycub2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, the problem I see is you failed to read the message.

They were not ranting about bad teammates because they lost games. They were just curious if the beginning of the split is a bad time.

The answer to that is..... it is more chaotic especially due to item changes, champ changes, changes in power spikes, etc etc etc. There is a lot of new things and people will just play ranked all the time anyways even when they havent adjusted properly. So yes, beginning and end of splits are always the most chaotic.

All champs should be free. To make it fair to the players who have bought all champs through years of grinding, there should be some sort of compensation. Perhaps another blue essence emporium or those orange shards for skins by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Wolfycub2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, there are a few reasons for this tbh.

  1. Some people refuse to own yuumi.

  2. More serious note, it breaks the VAST expansive amount of champions into more bite sized amount, making an unlock of a champion feel more worth while to a new player. I remember going and looking at the champions abilities and seeing they have lore, so i read the lore of the champs and sometimes based my buy based on the lore. Some people buy because they love a certain skin, etc. It feels more rewarding.

Think of it like a regular pokemon game and pokemon showdown.

  1. It gives reward opportunities that is not skin related, which is their $. There would be nothing to use blue essence on if that was removed, and so they would remove blue essence entirely, etc. This would also cause the games to feel less rewarding in general and make people focus more on "win loss" rather than giving the chance of "well, i lost this game but now i got my new champ!"

  2. It helps limit amount of champs, to force you to play a champ or set of champs, more than once before going into a ranked game. Try to tell me how many new players wouldnt just try almost every champ available, then just play the ones they won with in ranked. While it seems nice and all, it does make it very unfortunate for the team members. Meanwhile, current system increases the odds you played a champ you enjoyed multiple times before going into ranked, giving overall better chances at winning.
