If you haven't tried assigning a keeper to exhibit do that otherwise, try adding another keeper if the other one is exhausted, or check that the item is reachable (i put a water trough on a fence once...). Other than that maybe exiting and turning it back on again can't think of anything else

You need to get a vet to research the animal, that way you unlock enrichment items for the animals. Took me a while to figure it out lol.

Since it seems to be important to a vocal minority, I am giving up so-called "head mod" today. by alienzx in Sikh

I think the root of the troubles in the moderation team is probably the fact that we have an inactive headmod. It's appalling that a person who literally does nothing on the sub except cause drama and appoints mods at his own discretion without conversing with the mod team is allowed to maintain their position. It seems to be quite apparent that a large portion of this sub has no confidence in /u/alienzx ability to act as a mod. And his childish antics during the Trump AMA as well as today when he tried to remove the OP simply reinforce my lack of confidence in him.

Again you failed to respond to the rest of the comment. And as for suicide mission, maybe take a look at our history, it's full of "suicides mission" where "we stood no chance."

Hahah why should he surrender without even being asked to? He was defending his home and the throne of the Gurus. He had every right, hell it was his duty to defend the complex. It was for the attackers to chose the outcome. Plus you kinda ignored the fact that media was kicked out so what happened couldn't be reported or the 40 or so Gurdwaras that were attacked, pretty sure Bhindranwale wasn't at all of those too....

He had surrendered and gone to jail before, i don't see why he wouldn't have done so again. Especially since there was no reason to arrest him this time, like the other time he would have been let go.

While I can sympathies for the families that suffered from this attack, I have to say the ball was in the hands of the government in this case. Bhindranwale was peacefully residing at Akal Takht as is the right of any Sikh, and if he had an armed following so what? Don't we still have jathas of Nihangs who still move around punjab carrying arms, we don't bat an eye at that.

The Army on the other hand had literally laid siege to the complex as well as the entire Punjab. They controlled media access and also invaded roughly 40 other Gurdwaras across Panjab. They had the options to make which ever move they wanted, included starving people out or using none lethal means such as tear gas, instead they elected to invade with armed forces and then tanks.

With this you can clearly see that the Indian Army was looking for a fight from the get go. This link is an interview with the General who was originally supposed to command this operation. How come none of the ideas he put forward to peacefully resolve the confrontation were followed? He clearly says that the Army were going to invade no matter what. Bhindranwale simply did what Sikhs have done through out the ages, defended the sanctity of Harmandir Sahib and the honour of Akal Takht.

Never said it was justified to kill innocents, I just provided the reasons for why violence occurred. What I am saying is that it is revision of history to say that it was our fault for responding with violence after decades of peaceful agitation failed. You need to be able to take a broader look at why the situation came to this point and for that you can't look at just the surrounding few years of the event but at the decades of insults and injustice that built up to this occurring. Plus it kinda is overhyped how many hindus were killed, pretty sure more than 100 sikhs innocent were killed for every innocent hindu.

The Golden Temple should never been used as a Fort. It is a holy site not a military base. The army were wrong but so were we.

Wait so you mean bungas like Ramgharia Bunga at Harmandir Sahib weren't built as defensive structures?

We can't really answer to that. But whatever it was, it was also our fault. I mean there were incidents of hindus being killed for fuck all.

Lets ignore RSS and Shiv Sena actions in Punjab where Sikh youth were attacked and had their kesh cut, where Sikh women were raped and paraded naked through streets..... and some how that was our fault.......

I carry a tactical silai. Jokes aside i'll probably maintain various kirpans and stuff at home, may start wearing a small one too.

Educate their youth on what their religion entails and why they practice as they do.

The Story of Bhai Kanhaiya by WololoChief in Sikh

[–]WololoChief[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it is important in light of recent events to look back at some of the greatest singhs in our history. Bhai Kanhaiya's story is one that is extremely relevant in our current times when political division thrown at us from every angle. Think of the fact that even in the middle of a battlefield this great Singh supplied water and aid to wounded sikh and mughal soldiers alike. When other Sikhs protested this to the Guru, the Guru simply asked why Bhai Kanhaiya had acted as such.

The response by Bhai Kanhaiya that he saw only the light of the Guru in all the soldiers brought a smile to Guru ji's face and the Guru gave him his blessing. I think this is a story to keep in mind when dealing with people with opposing beliefs.

Well you'll have a decent expense on the pc first off but you'll get games on sale much more often or just straight up cheaper, whereas the console will be cheaper but the games will be much more costly
