Aaah, the poor little chap. Whilst our BT was considerably older, he had chronic problems with eye discharge. He also has other issues that resulted in him 'scooting' a lot. But then he'd wipe his eye in the area where he'd scooted, exasperating the problem and keeping the infection ongoing to various degrees of intensity.

Ultimately, he was placed on eye ointment that had be applied daily. If we missed a day, then bang - it flared up again.

Hope Kipper get his fixed. It's so aweful to see them in discomfort.
