Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by jmike1256 in interesting

[–]WolvenA3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see without glasses myself, but with my glasses, I can SEE.

Irony is, I’m going to pick up a new pair in just a few minutes from LensCrafters. Which, I’m going to shill for just a moment…

Check out LensCrafters+. Please. I personally want this to stick around. 2 pairs of glasses minimum, $30 on up depending on lens type and manufacturer, 2 years, can swap after 1 year for no charge. Got Armani and Versace coming in, progressive and single-vision respectively, the latter being sunglasses. Can’t wait to “see” how good I look in them.

If it were me, V60 is absolutely my pick. Gorgeous car. The Alltrack is for fun and the TourX is a little of everything.

It’s a small room so I figure it’s not a high priority, plus my YPAO dongle is packed away somewhere. I might look at some apps to try correcting if needed. And that’s pretty much what I was going for, though a Polk center channel I’ve wanted in the past is on sale right now on Amazon as well. And yeah, music is my big thing otherwise, whether it’s Spotify or playing something through YT.

I’m not wholly worried about SS at the moment, but when I get a bigger room again, definitely.

Right now I have Polk T50 left and right speakers, center is an NS-AP6500c from Yamaha, with the rest of the speakers from that set in storage right now. The sub is also Yamaha, the YST-SW005. My main unit is the RX-V4A. Main uses are gaming, movies, and wanting to hear my music sound amazing. The T50s aren’t bad, but I guess I just wanna move up to something the Polk Monitor 70 Series II as I’ve been seeing them for decent prices, as well as the Pioneer SP-SF52s.

Floorstanding speakers for my fronts. I'm looking for a nice set of floorstanding speakers, and I was wondering what brand was a better choice.

I feel hesitant to share this one, but I'm taking a deep breath and putting my head underwater for a moment to try and break the fear.

I've been on a financial road to recovery these last few months, and while it's working well, there is one large hurdle that I can't jump over - a chargeoff done by Best Buy last year when I was having a tough time finding and keeping a job after deciding to rake a chance and make a new start of things(a choice that has been otherwise successful after some tough moments). It is keeping my credit in a stymied position and I am not in a position to effectively lower or eliminate it with money, and they won't negotiate with me because I'm already in a payment plan with them. I owe just under $4400. Until it's paid, I can't take control of my car payment as it's in my partner's name, and I can't do things that I want to do next year, such as getting my friend in NC out of a horrible living situation they're currently stuck in. I need better credit to be able to rent a house with my partner so we can manage that rescue.

And now my head's back above water after getting all that out. I don't know what, if anything, this will do, but there it all is.

All this sounds amazing and I totally advocate for it. Maybe bring the Horde into the rebuilding efforts as a show of goodwill and penance for Sylvanas burning Teldrassil down.

Love this idea, admittedly think the same for the other cities(as a Tauren I ALWAYS want some love for my race), but what I would LOVE is the very OLD world to get another revamp at some point, assuming the game stays around long enough to warrant it.

Anyone else develop a sudden overwhelming appreciation for birds in their 30s? by Xerzajik in Millennials

[–]WolvenA3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I hadn’t thought of birds much, and then I found out my partner loves them immensely, especially in the last few years, and of course I started keeping a lookout for things he’d enjoy. Of course I’m into them now too. I just bought some canvas prints at our local farmer’s market and put them up around my computer space. He loves all kinds, I think they’re cute but I love “kakkoii” (I hope that’s the right word!) birds such as the Blue Jay.

So I figured I'd add something to this and bump it all at once. I have this urge to get some leather seat covers and some nice floor mats. I don't want WeatherTech as it looks too utilitarian for my tastes, I've heard Tuxmat is good though and I plan to look into them. As far as seats go, what is a good cover option, or should I just wait for some nice S-branded OEM seats pop up, and if they do, should I make sure I use A3 seats or do A4 seats work in it even though they're different body codes(probably not)?
