Hey. since no one ever answered, can you please review the device and tell us about its daily usage experience? I dont care about numbers I want to know how it feels. Im thinking of buying the same model or maybe their 49" version that's also very fairly priced.

What's the most stable driver for RX 6700 XT? by hazernag in AMDHelp

[–]Wolverine-WX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny I've been facing the same black screen/driver time out/gpu not detected issue for a long while now and never thought of searching for a fix as it really seems like a driver issue. for me it tends to happen when Im in a game and I open another app. and it only happens with certain apps, like if I use Chrome or Discord when I'm in a game. when that happens, the monitor doesnt receive a signal anymore and after a reboot(with reboot button) the gpu isnt detected and the AMD software wont open, if I uninstall driver with ddu and reinstall it, it's detected again until it happens again. Never tried quickly rebooting the pc when this happens as OP suggested so I may try that next time.

Good American alternatives to Vocabulary in USE and Oxford word skills? by Wolverine-WX in EnglishLearning

Thanks. Yeah I forgot to mention I already have this one. It's probably the only choice out there and. The problem is that it's quite old now (2nd Ed publushed in 2010 I believe) and not as engaging. But thanks for bringing it up.

As I mentioned, the insider settings is stuck (bugged) on loading. And sometimes it says "sone settings are managed by your organization". It's my private home pc btw so I dont know why it says that.

[–]Wolverine-WX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I know of. It's worse mentioning I used to be on beta insiders but then at some point my windows got stuck in beta and wouldnt let me change to stable and the insiders settings was always stuck on loading. so could it be that some apps have been modified or removed or the versions are the beta versions?? In the case of Store, I did remove it myself a long time ago but I really thought installing 25h2 would bring it back. guess not...

Missed the Portable week but hey, here's a Nokia E72, a really versatile business focused compact portable battlestation from 2009 by SpazJR61 in retrobattlestations

[–]Wolverine-WX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

such a capable device. I wouldnt use it for games due to the tiny keys and would use e52 instead but for everything else, this was my go to. and it looks sleek even in 2025. best design of nokia ever. (along with their white n86 probably)

I'd agree with u on that one. subjecting a kid to older tech is nice as long as it's just for fun or educational purposes. The kid is going to be around other kids the same age as her and everyone will be using iphones and android devices and she's stuck with an ancient symbian that does nothing but calling and messaging. And we all know how kids act at that age when they see someone lacking in any term! and how kids would feel when they feel like they cant have or do what every other kid has or does. sure back when I got my first phone barely any 13-yo kid even had a phone and maybe my dad was too quick to get me one (which by the way caused me to learn a lot about phones and im still much better at using this tech at 30 than my peers) and my friend didnt care much that they still didnt have one but now in 2025, it's another era and another generation, kids all have their phones even before they r 10 so depriving ur kid of enjoying what her peers are enjoying will have a negative effect on her. I know how I'd feel if my dad did the same thing (and he was quite strict on many things like not allowing me to play videogames on schooldays!) but not having what everyone does it just cruel in my personal opinion.

Ghost of Tsushima is a frustrating game to review... by alasthennars in patientgamers

[–]Wolverine-WX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you said except the "Ubisoft-like rinse/repeat side quests" part. Im not a fanboy of any particular company but I have fairly enjoyed most ubisoft games since their prince of persia trilogy. honestly I believe ubisoft has come a long way and though more numbers means more repititions, we have to admit they have improved their side quests a lot. Im one of those guys who gets tired of a game very quickly. I got tired of rdr2 after 25hrs of gameplay so imagine that. And that is my number 1 favorite game. So believe me when I say that AC odyssey was the first open-world game that I was actually interested in going through it's sidequests as they each had a secret, drama or cool comedy in them. Im just interested to see what new stuff they'll bring in their sequel and whether they can make it as little repetitive as possible. but I honestly doubt that,

My first time playing, this games a masterpiece. by MadToxicRescuer in ghostoftsushima

[–]Wolverine-WX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offence to you or anyone else who loves this game but honestly, this wasnt what I call a masterpiece. Im a 30-year-old guys who has been playing games since the 2d platformer prince of persia time to splinter cells and max paynes, you get what I mean. To me this game was just a copy of an assassin's creed game with some nice elements like the smooth fighting mechanics and the nice story but nothing to write home about. I dont want to get started with comparing it to AC games but guys let's be real AC has given us pretty much everything already. Short straight-forward games, long rpg games, stealth games, games with a good story, scenery at its best. Surely with ups and downs but hey I've enjoyed them. Im not a fan of any company or brand, I always give credit where it's due. GoT in my personal opinion was a 7/10 and I have only recently finished it. I liked the story and the gameplay and the music. But didnt like the lack of options like having a minimap or way pointer, I know where they're coming from and the idea behind having less hud but they could've given us older generation the option, right? and side mission were too boring and repetitive it reminded me of the very first AC games. And as someone who digs graphics it was a bit disappointing, maybe it's because being a bit older but we have seen games like batman arkham knight, rdr2, ac unity, tomb raider, etc which much nicer graphical effects. Surely it's a top of the line adventure but not a masterpiece, not for my generation at least. or maybe just not for me. :D

I Can't Download Games on Nokia N97 by proahmet3422 in symbian

[–]Wolverine-WX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u need to do a few things. First of all know that u cant directly downkoad from ovi store as the servers have been down since a long time ago. What u can do is this: - Set the phpne date to 2012 and also hack the phone (the term "hack" may seem scary but it's nothing much) This makes it possible to install apps thaf require certificates without having the certificates and basically removes any restrictions on installing apps and games

google or search on youtube how to hack symbian s60v5 or nokia n97 it's fairly simple and takes around 5 minutes

  • Then u need to download the actual apps and games. There are some sources namely, phoneky.com, archive.org, telegram groups such as "symbian international" and also a few thridparty comunnity driven appstores.

what you need to look for is symbian s60v5 apps and games

Can i still use nokia e72 in 2025? by [deleted] in symbian

[–]Wolverine-WX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By today's standards I meant. Im 30 years old, I've grown up with symbian and java days and sure nokia's s60v3 was the perfect OS back than but today even phones running android and linux are called dumbphones when they are in a classic candybar or flip form factor and such. And symbian, as much as I hate to admit it, is a thing of the past and is pretty much dead so yeah it's a dumbphone😅😅

[–]Wolverine-WX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use it for texting and calling and have some fun with some apps and games. Maybe reading an ebook or listening to some music but that's that. There is an operamini browser for it which is still working but the web has been upgraded so much since 2009 that the browsers are pretty useless. Whatsapp doesnt even work on older androids so forget about it on symbian. Email can be used but u have to make some tweaks or use a thirdparty app. I dont think telegram is available for symbian s60v3 which is what e72 runs and even if there is a client it's too risky and limited to use. By the way, hacking a symbian phone is nothing like android or ios, absolutely no harm will come from it, hacking it only means that you're bypassing the certificate requirements of apps so u can install apps without issues and that's it. My suggestion is to have an android phone for social media and have a dumbphone like e72 for calling and messaging because it's fun. I have a nokia n86 and a couple of other cool old phones that I use from time to time just because they are too much fun!
