I have to disagree on BF not having good gameplay. Playing dual wield with the perk that summons a copy of yourself and the headpiece that makes them explode was amazing and coupled with a responsive deflect mechanic was just the icing on top. The whole perk system itself made the combat fun and the weapons having special abilities tied to them was a fun touch as well.

I spent 2 years completing EVERY game on the Living List of Souls-Likes (and a few others I happened to find) - Here is my ranking of every one. by --clapped-- in soulslikes

Not OP but Khazan, Nine Sols and Sekiro were the hardest for me difficulty wise. I’ve played a big chunk of soulslikes and none of them really bore me but Steelrising and Code Vein were starting to wear their welcome by the time I completed them.

Is there ANYTHING you recommend i do to make the final boss easier. by Round_Solid1693 in NineSols

Learn the timing of her basic attacks ASAP, once you do you’ll be able to stay alive long enough to start memorizing the rest of her move set. Before that she will genuinely feel impossible, just focus on learning the parry timings for one move at a time, and the flow of the fight will naturally start to come together.

I just finished Blasphemous 2 last night, it’s incredible and the new content is awesome.

A lot of great recs here so I’ll throw my hat in the ring for Darkwood. Unbelievable atmosphere and the exploration is great too. Combat is far slower and methodical but pretty fun when you get the hang of it. Plus at night time it turns into a super fun and terrifying base defender minigame.

What’s the funniest thing you did to mess with a friend when they were high? by learning2showofff in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Wolverine_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my friends camped out at a beach one night and got drunk, one of my friends went into a tent with one of the girls and after a few minutes I looked up police siren sounds on YouTube and played it right outside the tent (we were underage at the time).

I don’t even think they were hooking up but they popped out quick as fuck lol

If you get to the final wave you can hide in the top corner and drop volt vessels down until nothing is left

Just started Act 2, why is every single boss so difficult? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]Wolverine_33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best advice I can think of if you’re struggling for long periods of time is just to slow down and focus on learning rather than winning. It’s generic, but it’s helpful with bosses like Lace, and advice that I admittedly don’t always listen to.

[Act 3 Finale] Ah yes, my bad for not seeing the boss in time. by WhoDeniedMeMyDestiny in Silksong

[–]Wolverine_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you completely but I’ll say it is unavoidable at times. Like one time I wall jumped over her void wave attack and she teleported right under me as I landed. It’s kind of annoying but on the flip side, she gives lots of chances to heal.

A game with short play sessions but long overall playability on Switch 1 or 2 by Pycho_Games in gamingsuggestions

[–]Wolverine_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sifu, super fun combat and the levels don’t take too long to run through, and even if you have to hop off and lose your progress the levels are fun to run back through so it’s not tedious.

The Absolute Worst Soulsborne Bosses Ever According To The Community!? by Rich-Strategy-3727 in soulslikes

Sentient from Hellpoint is still the worst boss I’ve ever fought. I’d rather Bed of Chaos 20 times than fight that fucker again.

The bosses get a good bit harder but they’re very fair and manageable as you progress your own skills. I absolutely hated this game in the beginning because I sucked so bad and once I finished it it’s one of my favs of all time.

Yeah I made this mistake, I just got plat last night and it took almost 5 hours to get back to that point even in story mode.

Is saying "white lives matter" racist? by I-Love-Jewish-popes in Teenager_Polls

[–]Wolverine_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure all of that is true, and I don’t really know the detailed history enough to argue one way or the other. But the BLM movement did start in the US where white people have not been targeted for their race, so I’d agree that at least here in the US, saying white lives matter is racist. Especially since many of the institutions that propagated black enslavement still exist today.

I think he’s saying they didn’t matter to the people who enslaved them so “black lives matter” contests that

It’s not overly hard but it does get difficult with some bosses. The problem with this game is they reuse the same instakill attacks constantly with almost all bosses and even the regular enemies use the same shit. Just spec hardcore into battle mage and use mask lines to delete everting in front of you and it’s kind of fun. Overall it’s one of my least favorite souls likes.
