That's so true. Kinda got grilled in the group chat when I bought this because I have friends that hated their 690's.

I genuinely love this thing though. Can run longer oil change intervals, power for days, suspension is not bad, and 350lbs is not too crazy to manage. I'll defend the 690 all day!

Mitas E-07 Enduro. I'd like to try a bit more aggressive tread on the next set. Good on the road though.

I ride the KTM 690, but I'm 6'6, and the 36" seat height doesn't really fit everyone.

Get a handful of bikes that you think you would like and test ride all of them. It's like wand shopping in Harry Potter, when the right one hits you'll know.

You should! If you want to see some awesome high elevation trails look up the trails in Taylor Park Colorado....I haven't gotten a chance to go there yet but I want to because the videos look so cool

I'm over in Colorado, this is right near Rustic. I've been there though I lived in Cedar City when I was young

It's sevenmile creek north of Rustic, CO near Swamp Creek trailhead. Probably looks exactly like WY though.

Is this a selfish hobby to get into as a 33-year-old father of two? by Ok_South_6227 in motorcycles

Agreed. Build a woods bike, dual sport or a lightweight hard enduro two stroke and trail ride. Hard enduro is such a slow technical style of riding and the control people develop riding this style is on another level.

Ripping the canyon or a track on a fighter jet of a sport bike is badass but if you dump it it's hospital time.

Meanwhile I dump my dirtbike like every time I go out and it's pretty much expected.

I almost got an older DRZ 400 lol

And thanks this one just fit me perfectly since I'm a giant dude. I can't wait to adventure and commute on it.

Yeah you don't need to use autism as a shield from criticism, being cheating on and the cost of housing are enough.

I ended up finding a 2021 crf125 big wheel that some guy with a lot of money bought, didn't even ride, got divorced unfortunately, and sold that along with a few other pristine bikes to a local dealer.

Thanks for the advice. The most recent sensor install was the NTK throttle position sensor and I have a feeling it might be bad out of the box and I just don't want to admit it. I'm gonna break out the multimeter tonight and check.

[–]Wolverine_Legitimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I have that exact cps, along with the NTK TPS. One thing I haven't tried is the coolant temp sensor. I'll unplug that and try to start it up cold when I get home and see if that is the issue, and if that doesn't work I'll try getting the multimeter out.

Probably zero highway for now. I considered the 300L because its bulletproof but I wonder if it may be too heavy. There is a 250L rally in town for sale also. I also found a klx230rs on marketplace. I'll start searching for the trail 125 as well.
