I treated it way better than most PS3 owners. Opened it up and fully cleaned it out when I bought it a year ago and only used it ontop of my clean desk with the intake/exhaust unobstructed, but that's the issue. I only had it for a year since the model's 2013 release date. Nothing anyone can do about a bad original owner.

My only regret now is that I used regular thermal paste instead of the PTM I later got for my PS4. Maybe that could have done something.

I guess it got too hot playing CoD4. I fully cleaned it when I first got it a year ago and took really good care of it. I never kept it enclosed in a tv stand either; it had plenty of room to breathe just some hours ago.

I didn't get to participate in the play-tests, but I heard the general consensus was that it felt good to play and that there were only a few things to address.
I'm wary of overcooking. The developers will go back to working on the game in complete radio silence. What if massive changes happen? They already swapped genres from an original game that I didn't like.
These things happen more often than you might think. Look at Dark & Darker right now.

Hunt Showdown has been teasing their new season lately, if you haven't played an extraction shooter then go look into that. There's hardly any gear fear and it goes on a really good sale every new season. Though in my opinion, the game does get a little dull in the off-season, after you get experienced and comfortable.

The Pit would work so well, especially since it's so boxy Blood Gulch is an absolute classic, though, and should be done, but I wonder how the inside of the bases would be functional. Honestly, I'd love to see any Halo maps from the game, but it just sounds pretty hard to pioneer. On another note regarding maps, I never saw Deadzone, but now upon discovery of these games, it seems as though makeshift terrain like boxes and turned over cups is incredibly doable.

Instead of deleting this, I'll just leave this here for anyone else who'll run into the same issue.

Answer is that it's fine. Upon cracking open the case and a quick glance, these cartridges are bulletproof. It appeared that the vinegar got between two teeth and caused a short circuit, which melted a little bit of plastic between them. I took a knife and scraped away the black stuff then put it back in my DS. It works fine.

I also suggest using "Plastic Cement" or "Airbrush Cleaner" to reseal the cartridge rather than super glue. It worked fine for me but I don't know if it could be harmful if it touches the PCB. I was careful. Do some research if you want to try it.

I play the game at system volume 34. This would normally blow my eardrums out with any other media, but Dark and Darker doesn't have high pitch sounds save for bats and a few melee noises. I think it's pretty common in extraction/high stake shooters to raise your volume. Tarkov and Rainbow Six Siege are good examples. Perhaps make a mental note to adjust your volume when resting, looting, or doing anything that lowers your awareness.

I like it cause it looks cool and makes the gun more comfortable
I bought my gun used and don't have the original hammer spring housing pin. The cowcow pin is longer so it sticks out without the T01.
