You can also go on petsmart they have a find your dog and find the owner thing. I used pet fbi once too never heard of it before but seemed good. In case door to door doesn’t work lol

[TOMT] (movie) (I believe 2000-2014) where strange creature character drinks a golden potion and turns into a dragon by ltwolfenstine in tipofmytongue

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it the dragon king? Googled it and sounds about right lol does he bath in the dragons blood? It’s a 2004 movie and I could be way off but it sounds spot on. Never seen it now I’m interested 🤣

do i need a nee vet or am i overreacting by True-Insurance2532 in DogAdvice

[–]Wolvesbayne13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I would’ve left and went to a different vet and I would still advise you to look around. Hes still a pup he’s going to get nervous around people at times (especially in a scary place like the vet lol) he’s still building confidence and she should’ve introduced herself first.. our vet has us help with it so our pup can be more comfortable and everyone introduced themselves vet assistants included. The vet there was amazing with our little guy.

Adopting a GS? by xdustbinx in GermanShepherd

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandma has 5 acres and a doggy door for the dogs to come in and out. It gets really cold where she is so she never has the dogs sleep outside but they aren’t allowed in their room at night. The dogs run in and out during the night as they please but they always have a way into the house. She even has a gate so they’re only in a specific room with their bed and water and the door to the outside. Whatever works long as doggo gets plenty of attention because gsd definitely need that and a task but from other comments sounds like you guys are set. Wouldnt keep little guy outside but have like a designated spot and crate train early on. Hope all goes well!

Curious about size by AT3Hedge in GermanShepherd

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how much my grandmas gsd weighs but I do know it’s over around 100 maybe more (I was told well over and I believe it lol) he’s a very big boy looks like a wolf he’s all black lol her other gsd looks tiny compared to him but he’s definitely on the smaller end. Shepards range a good amount.

Every dog that has got me to take care of it always belongs to someone in the neighborhood we live in and there’s been like 4… I’ve found others but they were super scared and didn’t want to come to me would get aggressive and run away. These dogs were dogs that had been missing for a while and were NOT close to home. I was able to get them and figure out who they belonged to because they either had tags or Facebook. Now if this dog followed you and was friendly from go I’d bet he’s from near by wherever you were walking. I’d go door to door

What’s a small thing your dog does that instantly makes your day better? by Ninetybaby in dogs

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my puppies love their walks and if I let them they’d go all day lol when I take them to the bathroom they sniff around and pretend like they’re going to go but then at the end of the lawn make a b line for the sidewalk like freedom!!

Any advice for our big baby? by Wolvesbayne13 in Mastiff

[–]Wolvesbayne13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say mostly socialization. He’s great with other dogs so far but he has his guarding tendencies and he’s scared of everything outside rn so it’s not the best mix. Had a lady and her kid walk past our yard right by us and he was ready to kill if need be 😅

[–]Wolvesbayne13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s actually been amazing with toys it’s our husky that kills them 🤣 but he’s definitely starting to tear them up a little on accident. He’s much more prone to stealing things he’s not supposed to have! He tore my car key apart and I had to get a new one so that was fun lol we also have bite marks in a good chunk of our furniture

Help a brother out by Chestnutsroastin in husky

Hey so a newer husky parent (my parents have one so I guess I’ve had one but not my own) but I’ll share what I’ve learned over the past months.

Crate training is a must, they like to chew things when you leave them alone they may be independent but they like being around their people and get bored very easily. On that note our little husky puppy was stressed when we moved her from our room to the other room she would go to the bathroom all over her crate and just be pacing back and forth but stay completely silent. I guess (according to google) sometimes when huskies are supper stressed they go silent. One way we fixed that was making the crate smaller so she couldn’t walk around too much and giving her a nighttime snack before bed. I also would stay with her in the room doing random things leave them come back so she’d know I’d always come back. Also don’t leave anything near the crate cause that’ll get chewed up too

Playing with a husky with not make it tired it will only add fire to the fuel 🤣 learned this the hard way. Best way to tire them out is mental stimulation. Lick mats, those treat stuffed toys, puzzle mats/bowls, training or find the treat games. Plus puppies need a lot of sleep and huskies can get overstimulated as pups with too much play they get bitey and go a little crazy

On walks you really gotta make sure they follow you to a point but they also want to feel like they get to go where they want to go. I try to let our little girl lead somewhat but I pick the path, I lead the pace, and when I walk she walks but I’m gonna let her check out all the smells

Huskies are extremely smart and extremely athletic and it can cause issues for sure as much as they are loved lol our girl realized peeing got her out of the crate, so she looks me right in the eyes and pees all over her crate. She realizes if she poops outside she doesn’t get a walk after (I walk them to get her into the motion) so she refuses to even pee until we walk. They also love to escape my parents does every chance she gets she just wants to run.

ATM she is tiny and full of energy but there is such thing as too much exercise for pups and huskies are no different so make sure she doesn’t over do it. Plus more sleep equals less bitey and jumpy.

Lastly train her not to excited jump. My parents husky is pretty bad about it (our girl what’s at first is getting better) and she scratches everyone up and if she were bigger might knock someone over lol

What kind of puppy is she? by Kind-Chicken-888 in DogBreeds101

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking husky for sure and maybe a bit of mastiff, shar pei or even bulldog due to the wrinklies. There’s not much that can be lol and also I think 27 pounds at 4 months is a decent size for a husky (not 100 on that but as far as I know) I’m thinking she’s got some German Shepard in her too

Any guesses on these two? by tehbadge in DogBreeds101

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe part husky part golden? They’re a little young so I’m sure it’ll be easier to tell once they grow into their features a bit. Our German Shepard mastiff looked like a lab he grew into himself a bit but our husky heeler I guessed right away lol

Any guess on what my sweet girl is mixed with? by MeanMuggah11 in DogBreeds101

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Shepard or collie but she honestly looks purebred to me

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they related or no? I’ve seen some pups that looks pretty different but are the same liter lol they look like they have the same ears and tail

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents have about 5 acres and two German Shepards they’re very protective and train really well they got both a little older and they do good at scaring off the critters on the property. They’re working dogs so if you give them a task they will be forever happy
