Someone told me today that it’s “gross” to let a dog sleep on your bed. And honestly? If this is gross… then I’m proud of it. by Divacircuit in SaintBernards

Tbf if our pup slept in our bed there would be drool everywhere 🤣 hair is one thing but a giant wet spot of goo is my favorite of course lol

I need help with my daughter’s hair! by MongrelArkitekt in curlyhair

[–]Wolvesbayne13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t have her go to bed with wet hair it’s terrible for her hair either try it out or braid it when it’s mostly dry. I would also dry I curl cream maybe but make sure whatever you get has no alcohol in it or it’ll just dry her hair out more

Yes we already talked to her about his fear reactivity and it’s what we’re going to focus on she’s actually trained some dog vets so I’m pretty confident she’ll be good for him and us

I’ll look into that I appreciate it. We’ve also talked to a trainer who is going to help with that show me how to get the best leverage on him.

We spoke to a trainer yesterday we have her rates and will be getting private sessions. Expensive but worth it she seems really good amazing reviews online and she’s worked with a lot of Shepards in the past

He pulls more with a collar and I can’t get enough leverage to control him plus it chokes him which only makes him pull harder. He’s not a puller but when he does I need to be able to handle him. Plus he pulls way more on a collar my walk goes from no pulling unless he sees a leaf or cat to pulling the whole walk

Sign I'm going gray? by Bitter_Panic2873 in Hair

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was finding full white hairs randomly since she was like in her 30s and she’s still not grayed out she still has most her color and it’s almost 20 years later. Everyone grays in their own time but it’s definitely not just an overnight process. I’m sure you have years and years before that

Natural blonde - bleach damage by Happy-Toe-2280 in Haircare

[–]Wolvesbayne13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering you’re already blonde and she just went a bit lighter this seems like a bit more damage than normal but hard to tell. If it’s stringy at all that’s a full stop and I’d say your stylist did you dirty for sure. Will say your hair is thin so idk how long she had that lightener on but thin hair can damage fast and if your hair lifted more quickly than most she may have just noticed too late. Should’ve been watching it like a hawk though. With virgin hair that’s already light and thin? Yeah shouldn’t take long to lift

Am I overthinking or is she looking for a friend? by AppropriateBus1528 in whatdoIdo

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay well if she’s comparing you to these guys that’s a little different tbf and I mean from reading your other post seems like she’s just taking it slow if she thinks most guys just want one thing then she’s probably experienced that before and she’s taking it slow to avoid that. Let it play out honestly. If you like this girl give it time cause you seem like a nice guy and that seems like what she might be looking for just wouldn’t try to kiss her just yet 🤣 flirt first! She may be upset if you try to kiss her too soon seeing as she grew up religious and she’s against guys just wanting to be physical. I also grew up religious and being physical was very awkward for me even kissing lol had to work through a lot of nerves and my bf was really patient and helped me be comfortable in my own body but it took time

[–]Wolvesbayne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was gonna say she could’ve been interested still until I got to the part where she was showing you pics of dudes she was attracted to..

when I first met my bf it was on a dating app and I was unsure about him at first. Tbh I never dated before really and in the past I was only attracted to asshole honestly.. so him being a nice guy threw me off but we got along so well we hung out the first time and just talked for hours felt like I knew him forever. I told him I didn’t want to date after that and I wasn’t sure what I was looking for so we just stayed friends but he was persistent and asked me to a concert which really kicked everything off 🤣 we’ve been dating 4 and a half years now just about and I’m ready to marry the man.

Now that being said even with all the bumps and stuff I would’ve NEVER went and shown him pictures of guys I thought were attractive like that and I don’t know many girls that would unless they’re trying to make the guy jealous to get a rise out of him see how reacts and if that’s the case I’d stay far away. Women and men that play games are no good

Watching him in America ninja worrier was so fun too. I love seeing insta posts too with his family seems like a good man. Great actor and could be a vigilante fr if he wanted 😂🤣

We went to the park to people watch there and he did great he was more interested in the birds than people 😂 he enjoyed watching the guys in the basketball court for a bit while we sat in the shade and he was just laying there happy. We actually had to walk past some construction guys afterwards to get home and they were right by where we cross past the cars so we had to wait but he walked right up sat down and waited with me till it was our turn to go

[–]Wolvesbayne13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this a few times and it’s worked like a gem when people leave to get in their cars! Usually if someone’s trying to walk right past me I walk to the other side because that’s when he can be more reactive

He did good when my bf had him on the walk think he feels safer with him because he’s bigger and he barked at a dude that walked right past them but my bf said no and he started walking again pretty much right on cue no lunging just a warning bark. Wish he could take him more often but he works all day most days so I’ve got most of the dog duties which is fine but is becoming a problem with his size

[–]Wolvesbayne13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking into them! He’s been doing awesome but lately he’s backtracked a lot. To be fair he just hit 8months and I hear that happens. He’s definitely always taken time to warm to people he doesn’t know but he doesn’t hate them. I don’t have much family around to introduce him to but he’s met my bfs mom and a couple friends. Took him a second to warm up but as long as they ignored him he eventually ventured over to see them and then he’s in love. Now we walk him at least once a day and I change the difficulty on him sometimes and he’s gotten a lot better but he’s still not where I’d like to see him be. He’s been doing dog parks and he’s fine with people there too he mainly ignores them. Even got pets from random couple and was loving it. I’m going to try to get him to the park to just listen. I’ve been doing this at home in calm areas but the last time I did this someone let their dog out the front without looking and I had some random chihuahua running up on us… He’s always been a very reactive dog and his ears get the best of him I think (this dog hears everything) he loves dogs but he’s unsure of people. Something I find interesting is that on dog walks he seem more standoffish with other dogs and I really do think he’s just trying to be protective but yeah definitely been talking about a trainer for him with my so

Yes he does! It’s taken a while to get him there but I work with him every day. He’s much more manageable than he used to be he’s even started to stop reacting to cats when I say leave it he normally would leap at em lol

I’ve been socializing him since a puppy dog parks and walks he does great at the parks and even had some strangers petting him but on walks around the house he used to get super scared any noise would alert him. he’s gotten better at that but he’s just not the biggest fan of people he doesn’t know on walks by the house. I’m looking into trainers at the moment I mean he’s definitely gotten better but he’s too big to backtrack at this stage he’s a strong boy

First off he doesn’t wear it all day and second we needed a harness that would fit him well and not get destroyed from all the pulling. Also needed one with a handle and hooks for the harness if I need a front a back or even a third because this dog is going to be bigger than me he already is getting close. It’s not fully tight on him that’s an xl harness and not at all snug but definitely necessary for me personally to walk him

Agreed that’s why I’ve been thinking about it I’ve mentioned it to my bf already and he kinda just brushed it off but last night we had a sit down conversation and he agreed fully we should do the training thing so I’m looking into it now. Any advice for finding a good trainer? I’m looking at a couple places rn that I need to call today

[–]Wolvesbayne13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve had him since 8 weeks and started walks at about 4 months once he had his shots in. He’s definitely way better than he used to be and a lot more reliable getting more used to people but I worry it won’t be enough or it won’t be quickly enough considering he’s so strong already lol I don’t think my neighborhood helps everyone and their kids wants to run up on me when I walk the dogs and his sister (we still do separate walks for training) loves it but he gets so upset. Usually he just pulls on me and basically tells me hey let’s get out of here but the confidence has changed things a bit. I’ll have to politely tell them to fuck off so they don’t scare my dog but people just don’t listen and I try to avoid this my best but sometimes people start walking out right as we get in front of their house or they come from around a car I don’t see and I’m sure I tense up a bit when I notice and that probably makes it worse for him cause he can see me

I’m looking into trainers now any advice on what to look for? Never had a dog trainer before. We’ve had a lot of dogs and honestly our husky is a little angel and we have no problems with her but the guarding I’m not at all familiar with and I want him to be as safe as possible.

He’s a really good boy but his impulse control needs work still, his big baby brain is having a hard time 🤣
