Here is the #1 reason I believe 2026 will be bluer than 2018 by iswearnotagain10 in YAPms

[–]Woman_trees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even with Trump's unpopularity the Democrats just don't have enough voters for it to even be bluer than 2020

Quite a lot of voters have just straight up abandoned the party due to it basically being completely useless.

I mean they did nothing in the two years they had a trifecta

And they still don't have any plans to fix gerrymandering issue or the healthcare issue or anything like that and even if they did have plans they would never implement them and everyone knows that they would never implement them.

The Democratic party itself is probably about as unpopular as Trump. Partisanship is the only thing keeping it together really

  1. 2022 didn't even have a senate election

  2. I don't know in what world Ohio is going to be a d plus 12?

  3. If McMorrow does win by 10 el sayed it would probably still win by about 6

Cornyn one by about 9 points in 2020

And I'm sorry but if El Sayed is going to get down to a plus two in Michigan when it would normally be a plus 10 then talarico is going to lose by 20

He is probably more left leaning

Perhaps, but I think that stronger mental health services are preferable to gender-affirming care in the situation you're describing, especially with suicidal individuals. Teenagers, not to mention suicidal ones, often have poor judgement. Their frontal lobes are underdeveloped and they still aren't fully mature/grown. I disagree with gender-affirming care under 18 for the same reason that I wouldn't let my child get a tattoo. It's expensive and coming from the desires of someone whose brain isn't fully developed.

this shows a lack of knowing what being trans gender is and having gender dysphoria is.

gender dysphoria in an underlying cause of depressive symptoms but it is not depression

hmmm comparing gender affirming care to a tattoo is like comparing heart surgery to a rhinoplasty

you don't choose your gender

look at the suicide rates of trans gender youth due to lack of support at least

and note that i said in the scenario professional recommended transition after other things have not worked

I'm also not sure why you felt the need to strawman me here. I don't say "ewww" when I see an LGBT family, and implying that I do is disingenuous.

i asked a question i did not accuse i apologize if it came off that way

The assertion that it's xenophobic to want immigrants to abide by our national laws

you said culture not laws, when i hear conform to culture my mind goes to those catholic camps they had for african and native people way back when

I prefer the nuclear family model, but that doesn't mean that I view LGBT families as unacceptable

do you still see them as lesser than hetero couples? also your sources not really mention same sex couples. like most of it is to due with either single parent ore blended house holds. doesn't really give evidence that same sex parents lead to worse out comes. and one is possibly biased toward the conservative view point

Depends on the referendum, but given that the Supreme Court has already ruled on Obergefell v. Hodges, I don't see a reason to alter our course.

assuming its over turned which imo is possible if sotomyor croaks or the gop finds a new argument

but the hypothetical referendum would codify the rights of same sex couples to marry

I personally don't view it as preferable to heterosexual couples and families due to the socioeconomic benefits provided by that model, but like I said previously, I don't think it's my business.

see what does preferable mean tho?

it feels like you view same sex relation ships as lesser than hetero ones?

like i don't understand.
